I bought two of these sprayers since they were on sale at True Value. On both, the pump tank broke after a short time (1-2 months) of use. The spray also was not very consistent and clogged more frequently than with other inexpensive sprayers I've used.

I bought this to replace one I've had for several years that finally wore out. The 2 gallon size works best for me. I use it almost daily to spray 4 horses with a fly repellent mix of water Avon Skin So Soft, Citronella oil, vinegar, dish soap & Permectrin. The oil in Skin so soft can clog other sprayers; and insecticides like Permectrin can "eat" the gaskets, but this sprayer is so well built it has no difficulties.

I love the easy carry handle built into the green top and the red 1 oz measuring cup. I no longer get insecticide on my hands when measuring the concentrated Permectrin. I just pour, turn the red cap to allow the insecticide to flow into the tank, turn it back and measure out the 2nd oz. Then I run my water through the cap to get every last drop as well as cleanse the top.

Another thing I like about this sprayer is the built in hole in the green top to hold the wand when not in use. Most units have a plastic "u" shaped slot to grab the wand, but I have found that the wand always falls out. I can drive the sprayer out to the farthest end of my pasture with the sprayer in the bucket of the tractor and the wand never falls loose.

The only thing I don't like is the screen over the end of the sprayer nozzle. It makes too coarse a spray and drips too much for my purposes. I just tear off this part to overcome this problem.

I have used several different types of sprayers in the 30 yrs I've had horses, but this one works by far the best! I bought one for my garden, but so far haven't gotten around to spraying my plants for bugs. I'm sure that won't be a problem....

I have tried most kinds of sprayers. This works better than most as it's higher mounted pump is very effective.
