This Metal Impulse sprinkler has a heavy-duty die cast metal sled base and long lasting brass and zinc construction on impulse head. The patented impulse arm saves water by eliminating back and side splash and the diffuser screw allows easy fingertip adjustment of water stream for even coverage up to 5800 sq. ft. (86 ft. diameter).

I had previously bought one of these sprinklers and wanted another one.
When I could not find them any more in the large garden stores, I went on line to find them.
The one I had originally purchased is approx. 3 yrs old and has never given me any problems.
It is easy to customize to the size and area I wish to water, and the amount of water I wish to deliver.
Well worth the money and time to order an all metal product to perform and last.
Highly recommend it.

Amazon Verified Purchase
The Gilmour Metal Head sprinkler is very heavy duty. I will not need to worry about cross-threading the brass attachment piece like some of the cheaper plastic sprinklers I have purchased in the past. The only complaint I have is that it is not designed for smaller yards. In some areas of my yard, I want to spray maybe 10'. The spray pattern of this sprinkler on short distances does not do a very good job. I need to turn the pressure of the water down to shorten the spray pattern. This sprinkler does not cover smaller areas well. But for longer distances, it does very well.

I returned the cheaper Gilmour Metal Head Impulse Sprinkler on Metal Spike 167MMS because the water leaked at the plastic hose connector. This resulted in a 2 feet reduction in the sprinkler's horizontal water stream.
This Glimour Metal Head Impulse Sprinkler on Metal Sled Base is an improvement. But, at more than double the cost. The metal hose connector which comes with a filter screen creates a leak proof seal with the hoses quick disconnect. The water stream is strong and the sprinkler head movement is accurate. The metal sled base means no embedment into the soil which would eventually rot out the cheaper Metal Spike version.

awesome
doing wonderful so far. The entire thing is made of metal so I hope it will last. I'm down jn texas so it will get a ton of use. I'll update review after summer if it lasts

Great for big yards
Really is good for 80' diameter with the right water pressure. Bests most cheap impact sprinklers by 20-30% and I was surprised at the amount of water it delivers. Read more

2 Sprinklers Stopped Rotating
The Gilmour Metal Head Impulse Sprinkler on Metal Sled Base is solidly built with all metal construction. The original and a replacement sprinkler would not rotate properly. Read more
