5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect sprinkler
I had a sprinkler like this for many years and used it all the time while my other sprinklers gathered dust. It finally wore out and,of course,I could not remember where I bought it. I looked at every store in my area but could find nothing like it. It finally dawned on me to go to Amazon and I found it easily. It can be programed from a tiny arc to a full circle but,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great...for ONE season
The sprinkler is very quiet. It sprays evenly, with a nice 20' radius. The distance of the spray is adjustable by using a sliding baffle...unfortunately, the sliding red plastic baffle comes apart from the sprinkler and is lost easily. I used the sprinkler for one season...went to use it for another, but a section of the turbine gears were stripped which stalled the...

I looked at every store in my area but could find nothing like it. It finally dawned on me to go to Amazon and I found it easily. It can be programed from a tiny arc to a full circle but, and this is the kicker, it has several water heights to choose from. Perfect for my odd shaped garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gilmore Turbine Rotor Sprinkler........a best buy, May 31, 2010
This review is from: Gilmour Turbine Rotor Sprinkler With Polymer Spike Base 200MPS (Lawn & Patio)
Sounds like this discussion of 1 pro and 1 con needs a tie breaker opinion. I purchased this sprinkler because due to low water pressure in our neighborhood a sprinkler system was not able to be installed without tooooooooo many zones.
This sprinkler is rated at 15 psi and above and since our water company is only obligated to give 29 gpm as their minimum pressure requirements I decided to try this Gilmore. It works fantastically, the spray pattern is straight out from the nozzle so setting the boundries was accurate and unlike the impulse sprinklers that I have been using for years it continues to rotate and water the area that it is set for without the annoying overspray of watering the sidewalks or street. Its a keeper as far as performance, only time will tell its longevity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Large coverage at low pressure, June 7, 2010

I need a low pressure sprinkler which can use the water setting for soaker hose without re-adjustment every time. Running water at a quarter circle of the faucet, this sprinkler head delivers enough water to cover a 60ft times 30ft lawn without any problem. Great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gilmour Rotor Sprinkler, September 17, 2010

These sprinklers are awesome. I use to have to move the sprinkler all over the yard and this has eliminated that as this one covers a large area or a small area. The adjustments are very easy to make and it goes into a complete circle or partial. The water disperses at such a rate that it sinks into the ground instead of puddling up or running off. I have tried just about all kinds of sprinklers and this is by far the best I have ever used. All my neighbors are wanting me to order some for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Marks, Good for Low Water Pressure, May 12, 2011

I bought this after getting the Gilmour large area coverage sprinkler, which did not work well in a residential setting with normal water pressure and it costs three times as much.

This model is great, does what it states, and covers about 3000 square feet for me, on medium to low water pressure. Simple setup, it is mostly plastic, but seems solid enough. Very quite, and stays put with the spikes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sprinkler!, July 5, 2011

We love this sprinkler. It's great for our yard with a privacy fence on one side. We set up the margins of the fence so the water stops before it gets to it, that way water is not wasted on the fence. It has a good range and we don't have to move it around to get the entire yard watered.

This is an excellent watering system. Remember to tighten the rotor to the base or you will have leaks. This does a great job of watering a barely accessible landscaped hill. Fast service and good communication from the vendor.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap Construction, July 25, 2011
This review is from: Gilmour Turbine Rotor Sprinkler With Polymer Spike Base 200MPS (Lawn & Patio)
I had an earlier model of this sprinkler (water-driven turbine) and liked it a lot for watering a very odd-shaped back yard. It lasted about one season and then started to rotate intermittently. I took it apart and could not find any reason that it would be doing this. I ordered the present model and it worked even better. However, the combination of the normal spray pattern and some leakage from the pressed-on female hose connection of the stake, enough water pooled on the ground around the stake-base that it gave way in the ensuing mud. It then started to gush water from the bottom of the unit, and essentially was useless. Due to the construction, I could not take it apart to see if it had failed in a repairable way. The all plastic construction is bad enough, but I think even that has been flimsy enough to make these products useless.Oh yes, and the tip of the long spike of the base broke off some time in the first few uses. The entire product is poorly fabricated.

I had purchased one of these a couple years ago and we loved it; my husband wanted more for the yard; the sprinkler is very quiet and he likes that he can customize the pattern...and it sprays very true to the settings on he sprinkler. It is a great sprinkler and am ordering more to have on hand. We would hate to not have one of these to use. We have had our current one for over 2 years and it works great still, but buyng a few more jut to be safe!! Our favorit sprinkler!!
