5.0 out of 5 stars Great sprinkler
This is a great lawn sprinkler. I had one for years I bought at Sears, and wanted another one, but Sears does not sell this type any more--but I found it on Amazon. Really easy to adjust to any size or shape lawn. Well worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Control is great - severe leaking where hose is attached is not!
I own 4 or 5 of these sprinklers to help me keep an acre watered. They get a lot of use, and I have to move them around a lot. The control with this sprinkler is awesome - I can water just about any shape patch. But the sprinklers leak something awful where the hoses attach. I own 4 or 5 of these sprinklers to help me keep an acre watered. They get a lot of use, and I have to move them around a lot. The control with this sprinkler is awesome - I can water just about any shape patch. But the sprinklers leak something awful where the hoses attach. Its not a threaded spot, so I can't just use washers or thread tape to fix it. Its where the plastic ring to screw the hose in attaches to the sled base.

Positioning the hose to not waste water is hard due to the leaking. And I get wet every time I move them. I wish I could figure out a way to patch this one faulty spot, because otherwise they are the best sprinklers I've ever owned by far.

4.0 out of 5 stars So easy to set!, May 24, 2010

This is one of the best. Very easy to set, and you don't get wet doing it. Impulse sprinklers are from the dark ages compared to this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not made like it used to be, December 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gilmour Turine Rotor Sprinkler with Sled Base Teal ATR5 (Lawn & Patio)
This was my third and last Gilmour that I will ever buy. The first one was great, lasted about 2 years. Then the 2nd one I bought, started leaking after about 4 months. I bought a third one, thinking that the 2nd one was just a fluke. We only used it three times and then it was leaking and not oscillating. I blamed my husband at first and thought that he had hooked up the broken one instead of the new one. Didn't think it was possible to break after 3 times. Will never buy another Gilmour again.

We had another sprinkler like this one that was starting to wear out. After looking on the internet, home depot, lowes, we just decided that the only sprinkler we would want to purchase was this one. It works great and doesn't make alote of noice during operation. It is really easy to set for any yard size. This is a real winner...

3.0 out of 5 stars Gilmour ok; Nelson is better, May 31, 2008
This review is from: Gilmour Turine Rotor Sprinkler with Sled Base Teal ATR5 (Lawn & Patio)
The turbine sprinklers are easier to use than the impulse type....howevever, from the two I own, the Nelson is better than the Gilmour. The Nelson has a metal base and a much more efficient turbine head. This Gilmour is ok for flower beds.

I got one good year of use out of this sprinkler. It did do a fine job, watered the lawn very well. But the next season it only lasted a short time until the gear broke and would not rotate. Not sure what caused it. May have been one of those things.

I would still recommened the sprinkler if you can grab one on sale.
