This cigarette lighter adapter works with Garmin nüvi, StreetPilot, and zūmo GPS receivers. Comparable to Garmin's car adapters, it will power and charge your Garmin GPS while you navigate. Utilizing a proprietary 18-pin connector that connects either directly to the GPS or through the Garmin cradle, this cable is guranteed to be 100% compatible with your Garmin GPS. The cable is six feet in length.

I purchased a Garmin Nuvi and have been using it for several months. One problem I encountered is that the end of the 12V (cigarette lighter) adapter came unscrewed and the parts inside fell out--a spring, fuse, etc. The second time this happened I couldn't find all of the parts so the cable was useless! I purchased this cable as a replacement and it seems to fit and work perfectly with the Garmin.

You gotta really force the plug into the back of the GPS but once plugged in, it charges the GPS really well. The plug does not come out while driving or moving.

Just so you know, I have the Garmin c550.
