All of Dover Publications' pictorial and fashion history books are great resources, at low prices. This one covers a wide variety of goods, and is an exceptional resource.Gimbel's, while concentrating on clothing, devoted over 40 pages of its spring 1915 catalog to a wealth of housewares and furnishings, sporting equipment, bestselling novels, and even patent medicines, all available by mail. A remarkable 'snapshot' of everday life in 1915, and a lot of fun to browse through! |
