The purpose of this Gimli is to re-enact the scene in the Fellowship of the Ring where he tries to destroy the ring in Rivendell during the Council of Elrond. He comes with five axes, including one that breaks when it hits the ring (which does not remove from the stand) when you squeeze his legs together. This is a good figure to use in battles, as well, because the axe-swinging motion can hit Orcs and the like. However, if you don't care for the scene at Rivendell, you might as well go with another Gimli.
