More About the Author

Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2015 RWA RITA© finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Her digital Line series is all about the hot cops and sexy chefs of Brentsville, New York. She is also the author of the Pine Mountain series, which follows small town singles as they find big-time love. Kimberly resides in Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters. Visit her any time at www.kimberlykincaid.com or come check her out on Facebook (www.facebook.com/kimberly.kincaid1) and Twitter (@kimberlykincaid).

Carly di Matisse celebrity-chef, left a disastrous marriage and moved to Pine Mountain to restart to her life, on a temporary basis. Meet contractor Jackson Carter, forever bachelor. Jackson is fixing the deck on Carly's rental when they first meet. Neither one wants to admit the sparks are flying immediately. Both are commitment phobes so maybe friends with benefits will work. Not!!
I am absolutely in love with this small town in the Mountains. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I love the friendship these characters have especially Jackson and Shane, nice to see male bonding, along with the girl friendships. The sexual chemistry of Jackson and Carly is fun. Of course no book of Ms. Kincaid's can be without food, recipes included. So, romance and food how can you go wrong, highly recommend this book. Can't wait for book three. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

First thoughts after…
I can't wait for Sloane's book and MAN I would love to see a book with Adrian!

How distracted did I get?
Gimme Some Sugar is a wonderful follow up to Turn Up the Heat! I loved getting to know Chef Carly and Jackson. Carly is funny, sweet and independent. Considering she's dealing with a horrible divorce her attitude is amazing. Jackson, sigh…a new hottie mctottie to fall for. He is sweet and sexy. I enjoyed his interactions with his mother, Carly and Shane. You really get to know a character by how he treats his friends and family! ;) Though you never really see/meet Carly's ex-husband there's a build of what he may be up to trying to delay the divorce and I found the result anticlimactic. However if you enjoy a good romance with a little steam I highly recommend Gimme Some Sugar.
I received a galley copy for an honest review.

Carly and Jackson . . . I loved their story, their characters. From page one you are rooting for them and it kept me turning the pages long past my bedtime. Run . .. do not walk . . . and collect your share of the sugar!

I absolutely loved this book. Carly and Jackson are just great together. They both are working through issues that make them think that love isn't in the cards for them. At one point my heart broke for Jackson. There is romance, humor, definite steam and drama. Definitely a must read and a great series. Can't wait to visit Pine Mountain again. Don't read hungry!

I loved Jackson and Carly!!! From the first moment they meet each other you know the sparks are gonna flame high. Carly is the new chef at Pine Mountain Resort. Escaping from a nasty divorce and soon to be ex husband, she takes the position in the resort. Jackson is the carpenter that rebuilds her deck. The first meeting had me laughing so hard I couldn't see straight. But from there the sparks fly. Jackson having issues in his past doesn't think that he can be what Carly needs but he is determined to "feed her". He soon finds out that he needs to feed her heart. You will laugh, and cry along the way. Join them in their journey of discovery and the melding of their hearts together. A must read from Kimberly Kincaid!!

Come back to Pine Mountain! "Gimme Some Sugar" Book#2 in Kimberly Kincaid's Pine Mountain Series brings the story of Carly and Jackson, we met Jackson in the first book of this series "Turn Up The Heat". What do you get when you put sexy contractor Jackson and NYC Chef Carly trying to re-establish her career after a disaster of a marriage? You get flames! The chemistry between these two is so hot you feel the sparks coming out of the pages. Both have issues they need to deal with, some fun moments and definitely moments when your heart just hurts for this couple. Read it! You won't be able to put it down. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Never one to disappoint her fans, Kincaid has cooked up another steamy romance, foodie style!

Chef Carly is a spicy Italian woman starting over, and the last thing she needs is the epitome of Adonis throwing her off the road to recovery.

Jackson’s a single man who has always managed to guard his heart until the remote slinging beauty caught him by surprise. If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then he’s minced meat!

These two butt heads on more than one occasion, but each recognizes the hurt the other tries to hide. They’re both on a path to self-discovery, but comfort each other through the process. Not everything is what it seems, but the passion between this couple is undeniable. I loved tagging along during their journey.

As with the previous installment of the Pine Mountain series, the author delivered an exceptional story that stimulates the senses! The setting and the characters are so inviting, I could see myself having a meal with them. Every emotional aspect is balanced perfectly, and the romantic scenes are scrumptious! In her wonderfully unique style, Kimberly Kincaid makes you swoon with every chapter. I highly recommend this novel, with snacks on hand!

I am glad I got the opportunity to revisit the small town of Pine Mountain, Pennsylvania. The people are genuine, the Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful and thanks to celebrity chef Carly di Matisse, the upscale restaurant at the Pine Mountain resort serves scrumptious dishes.

Carly is a petite, New York City chef that now makes her home in Pine Mountain. She is in the process of getting a divorce from her cheating, good for nothing husband, who is also a celebrity chef. She is working very hard to make a name for herself without any outside influences. Jackson Carter is a good-looking contractor that believes he is unworthy of love. It takes the love of a good woman to change his belief system.

As much as I enjoyed this story, I found the pace to be quite sluggish. Carly and Jackson are great together, but it took forever for them to do something about the feelings that were developing between them. When Carly and Jackson are together, their chemistry is combustible. Ms. Kincaid kept me chuckling through the use of food play on words and anecdotes. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
