THE BEST BAND YOU NEVER HEARD OF!,

This review is from: Gimme Some Thunder (Audio CD)
If you live in America, chances are you've not had the pleasure of hearing Thunder. That's because they're TOO DAMN GOOD to be on the radio these days. It would boggle the minds of teenagers or adults for that matter in this country to hear a band that could actually play, write, and sing with this kind of excellence. They broke up in 2000 & are reforming this year to play a series of shows w/Alice Cooper in England. Perhaps we can get them to stay together & make another record if we start supporting them. This disc is a collaboration of material from their first three albums plus some rarities and live bits thrown in for good measure. All are astounding pieces of hard rock 'n' roll performed with the flair of the classics. Danny Bowes' voice is likened to Paul Rodgers and the songs are played from the heart. The production is great and the playing is very good as well. If you are looking for something different, take a chance on ANYTHING by this band; you will not be disappointed!! The Wolf

This CD was my first real exposure to the music of this group THUNDER. I had been led to believe that their's was outstanding music. Well, it is good, but not that big of a deal. This CD satisfies my curiosity. This will be my only THUNDER purchase.
