5.0 out of 5 stars A Sexy Story For Adults, Not a Romance Novel
Russell developed her characters very well. The novel was fast paced and sexually explicit just like Black Lace Novels should be. For a Black Lace novel, it was actually quite romantic.

1.0 out of 5 stars This reads more like a work in progress
In my opionion, the author failed on two counts: character development and erotic tone. The characters are vacuous and shallow, making it very hard to identify with them or sympathize with them. In fact, I found myself disliking the two main female characters very much. And the sex scenes are as underdeveloped as the characters. There is not enough description, both of...

1.0 out of 5 stars A lot of sex, but who cares?, July 5, 1998

This is the first book of the Black Lace series that I've read and I was disappointed in it. The author did not develop the characters enough for me to be concerned with any of their lives. The storyline was thin and weak. I had to struggle to finish the book. The love scenes were rushed, uninventive and just not all that interesting. I haven't given up on the series and have a couple of books that I intend to read this summer. Let's hope that they're better written than this one.
