Just received this book today and I was so excited. It is a great addition to my collection of gingerbread stories. My students have always loved The Gingerbread Girl, so when I saw this sequel, I knew I had to have it. It is just as cute and funny as the original with lots of clever rhymes for each of the animal crackers. Some of the vocabulary in the story is rather sophisticated(preposterous,brouhaha, hullabaloo,etc), but provides a great way of teaching the meaning and usage in context. I can't wait to read it to my students and get their reaction!!!

My 6 year old brought this Book home from the school library because her teacher had read it and she had fallen in love with it! My 2 year old also enjoys the story. The story begins when the gingerbread girl receives a box of animal crackers for her birthday. The animal crackers follow a similar journey as the gingerbread boy but the gingerbread girl helps them outsmart the fox. It is a clever story with a lot of fun lyrics.

I just received the book today . . . read it to my 5 year old son (almost 6) and 8 year old daughter. Outstanding! Bravo to the author and illustrator. We absolutely loved the book. Too much fun! You won't be disappointed. The Gingerbread Girl receives a gift for her birthday. Animal Crackers. The animal crackers run outside to explore and the fun begins!

Lot's of Fun
My two and four year old grandsons loved the story. Great Christmas gift for the whole family, especially with the addition of some tasty animal crackers.
