The plays in this series are an excellent way for young readers to showcase their reading skills in a fun and entertaiing way. The Gingerbread Man Folktale Play not only gives the students a chance to use their reading skills in a different setting, but allows all students the chance to participate. Teachers will find it easy to implement without a great deal of preparation.

Using the play format to teach primary aged children is an excellent way to achieve total cognitive involvement. I highly recomment these fun folktales for young children as a means to teach oral language skills and understanding.
