In addition to illustrating, he enjoys fly-fishing and spending time with his family.

About the Author

Joe Kulka earned his B.F.A. in illustration from the University of Arts in 1987. The illustrator of Woody's ABCs , now included in the Head Start Program, he is a member of the Graphic Artists Guild and Picture Book Artists Association. Kulka lives in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

Dotti Enderle launched her publishing career in 1995, writing for such popular children's magazines as Babybug, Ladybug, Children's Playmate, Nature Friend, Turtle, and many more. Ms. Enderle is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, the Houston Storytellers Guild, the Writers League of Texas, the American Book Cooperative, and Women Writing the West. She currently lives with her husband, two teenage daughters, and a cat named Oliver.

The wonderful Gingerbread Man comes to life leaping out of the oven, tying on a dishtowel cape and shouting "Flour power!" Instead of running away to escape being eaten, the new Gingerbread Man seeks to save the world, or to rescue a few brownies from a mad macaroon's captivity! the imaginative full page color illustrations of "Gingerbread Man Superhero!" leap off the page and right into the reader's heart. "Gingerbread Man Superhero! will captivate a whole new generation of young readers and their parents and teachers. Appropriate for ages 3-8.

This book is fun. It's colorful. It's playful. Who wouldn't love a Ginger Bread Super Hero. A very fun story with rich colorful Illustrations. We have several other books by Joe Kulka and I would recommend this one as well. My son and I saw Mr. Kulka at a book signing recently in our area and he was not only very kind to us and did a drawing in our book, but he was friendly to all that were there. I know he wants to sell his books but I think he is genuinely nice and loves telling these stories to kids.

My family loved this book (boy 4; girl 7; girl 8) A great twist on the Gingerbread stories. Bright illustrations. You won't be disappointed.
