He said I had two options, I could either ship the bike back and get a new one or he could mail me the part but it would white.

So, it's not a top of the line bike but if you are wanting an entry level bike this is a great choice.

I love this bike. I was looking for a road bike for a long time that was a descent price and fit me well. I am 5 foot 2 and bought the 17 inch frame bike. I was a little worried about putting it together since it was not assembled. I waited for my husband to get home to help me and it ends up that it wasn't necessary. It only took us about 10 minutes to get it put together. I just had to try it out a couple times to get everything adjusted properly. I use it all the time and hook it up to a trainer in the winter for exercise. Its a good weight for the price to.

Bought this for my wife after using the men's model for myself. It is a solid and well-priced entry level road bike for those looking to get into road biking. The front wheel arrived out of true, and the brakes needed alignment. But the shifters work well and there are no major mechanical issues, just take it to your local bike shop for a tune up.

We took it out for a spin after I set it up for her and THE SEAT IS ABSOLUTE TORTURE. Since I have the men's bike it's obvious that they use the same seat for both models. The seat was so painful for her that we had to stop after a few miles, tie a shirt to the seat for extra padding, and go home (she's 5'4", 125lbs). I've since ordered a new seat for her, but ladies, be warned if you don't use padded cycling shorts.

Other complaints are that the bike has a flower design on the handlebar tape - which is easy to change. But also that the bike is very pink because of the fork, which makes it look somewhat childish -and bothers my feminist wife. But, in the end,you aren't looking at the bike while you're riding it so who cares as long as you get to learn to enjoy cycling without breaking the bank?

Aside from that, one other big thing to note is that my wife has small hands so she had trouble reaching the brakes/shifters comfortably. Luckily, two sizes of of rubber shims were included in the box -DO NOT THROW THESE AWAY- that you can insert underneath the brake covers to lessen the distance between the brake lever and handlebar grip. Since the shifters are the same as the men's model, I assume every single woman that uses this bike would benefit from spending the 5 minutes installing these shims.

If you can live with the color, I'd recommend this bike to anyone looking for a solid, yet affordable, starter road bike.

I am 5'2 inches tall with short legs/longer torso. I purchased the 15 inch frame and it fits perfectly. The bike is very smooth riding - the gear shift works great. Very quiet, good looking, and enjoyable to ride. So glad I decided to get the smaller frame. I'm sure the larger one would have been too big for me. This is perfect for someone with the same body type as me. I went to a local bike shop and was told that the smallest size Raleigh Capri II would be the right fit/size for me. I compared the specifications and the 15 inch frame bike matched the closest - and is the reason I chose it over the larger frame.

I have been in the world of cycling for over 40 years in all sides from painting, fixing to riding. This bike is really a bad investment. A realistic price would be around $250.00. For around $100 dollars over the price more you can get a Fuji with better equipment. Here is the gist:

First packaging seemed to have gone through the triathlon. Bike came with scrapes. Front brake has a flaw. Once you hit the brake one of the sides of sticks to the rim. I even took it to the shop and they couldn't get it either. Old valve design. The 15 inch frame does not come with two places for water. Brakes are a bit on the hard side for a petite female. Overall, if you know about bikes, once you get it you'll know what I am talking about.

I would recommend for the money, and time investment to put together to invest a little more and get one from the shop. A new twist on the old wise adage, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, in this case, YOU GET LESS THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Lesson Learned!

bike is very lite and well constructed. My wife is five two and she is very happy with the 15 inch frame. Shifters work very well and were easy to adjust.

Bike was delivered in good condition. Easy to assemble. Weighs about 25 pounds, so a bit heavier than I hoped for, but that is what it's listed as, so I can't complain. The front brake was a bit out of alignment. I highly recommend after getting the bike to take it to a professional bike shop. The one I took it to only charged me $25 for a complete tune-up (gear adjustments, brake adjustments, checked all the parts). My wife loves it! She's 5'5 and we went with the 17". It does come with a kick-stand which I immediately took off. It would rattle anyway. After her first ride of about 10 miles, she was so happy she never had to get off the bike and walk it up the hills (which we do have). Overall, great bike for the price! Looking forward to many more rides!

I bought this for my wife. While clearly not a Cannondale, the bike frame and components are overall of good quality for the price. The seat that comes with the bike is unbearable, however, and we replaced it immediately. The brakes are also of very poor quality, and probably won't last long. I bored out the mount holes in the frame, and replaced them with better quality road bike caliper brakes from the local bike shop.
