Most art books stand or fall by the quality of their color plates. This Giotto volume is typical of the Konemann Masters of Italian Art series: some really beautiful reproductions, and others which seem weirdly pale or green-tinted. I'm not sure why this happens; nevertheless, know that when you buy one of this set you're getting a mixed bag.
