This is a compact but strong ball head that is the perfect choice to mount your digital camera on a tripod or monopod. The workmanship and finish are both wonderful.

I really like this ball head for to main reasons: 1. it is very small and functions well; 2. the removable head is indexed so you can get the same alignment provided nothing else has changed.

It really works well in my application which is in my car for racing. I remove the camera between events and the alignment stays with no adjusting thanks to the indexed quick release.

We've tried a lot of similar hardware that just isn't beefy enough to hold a monitor or hard drive recorder. This is excellent and has a detachable mount that can be attached to the device avoiding having to unscrew it to remove it.

As you would expect, this little ball head is small but it works perfectly.
It's well made and is ideal for holding speedlites in macro photography.

The product seems solid and well crafted -- however, I bought it to get the quick-release feature for my tripod. Both the camera and the tripod use a 1/4" connection. It is beyond my understanding, why it comes with a 3/8" connection on the bottom, despite that the package indicates it's interchangeable for both diameters (no adapter for 1/4" included and apparently not available from the manufacturer).
