Most Helpful Customer Reviews

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By D. Chamberlain on October 9, 2008
I purchased this tripod several months ago and really love it. It is sturdy and very functional. I have used it in a formal office setting to take pictures of specimens but have also used it in wetlands to take pictures of Monarch butterflies. It is lightweight enough to carry around all day if you use the strap that is provided even with a camera and macro lense attached to it. Definitely recommend this product.

This beautifully engineered tripod is carbon-fiber strong and extraordinarily lightweight, collapsing smoothly down to a package so small it fits easily into my carry-on suitcase. The twist locks are very precise--just a slight rotation opens and firmly closes the extensions--making it an especially good fit in situations where you need to get set up quickly. This precision also comes in handy when setting up on uneven surfaces (equally good on stair steps and boulder fields) or trying for unusual shooting angles.

By far the very best tripod I've had in 40 years of photography. An amazing find.
