This is a great deal for a camera maintenance/cleaning kit although I wanted it mostly for the blower and lenspen. The microfiber came in handy for the screen and the accessory kit was really cheap. The lenspen is a must, it is so much better than cleaning with a microfiber cloth.

Suits my needs for cleaning my DSLR though i have not tried this yet on my sensor. Rocket air blower that came in this package is huge and blows every dust away. Perfect deal for under $20.

You really can't (and won't) go wrong buying this Giottos Kit for your camera; you get quite a bit for your money. I figured I'd break down the different items you get with your purchase.

If you want a succinct, bottom line up front, this kit is a smart, useful buy with quality components for a low price. If you want details, read on.


Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System:

The lens pen is terrific and does its job well. It cleaned a brand new Hoya 58mm UV filter I had recently purchased from amazon.com that came smudged with a narrow, circular band of gunk that a lens cloth could not remove. The lens pen is easy to use and comes with instructions in the event you are uncertain how to use it.

- use the brush first (which is retractable) to clear away any dust particles, lint, etc

- use the cleaning tip (revealed by removing end cap) after the brush if necessary for smudges
(One note about the cleaning tip...it will leave a black smudge on anything you might accidentally brush it against [skin, clothes]).

- use the microfiber cleaning cloth that came with the Giottos Kit (at least that's what I did). I briefly talk about this cloth further down below.

I really like the fact that the cleaning brush is retractable and I'm surprised it doesn't have a cap to go over that end of the lens pen like the cleaning tip end does. Still, this is a great little tool any photographer should have.


Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1900 PLUS +:

As already mentioned by a few reviewers, the Rocket Air Blower is on the large size but works quite effectively. It will definitely deliver a blast of air that will remove dust and other loose "debris" on your lens or camera. This thing is made of sturdy rubber and looks like it will last a long time unless it turns into a dog's chew toy. I leave the Rocket Air Blower at home when I'm out and about because its size and shape make it a bit too bulky for my Canon camera backpack. That's where the small dust blower/brush tool comes in handy.


Precision Design 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit :

What I like about this 5-piece cleaning kit is that you get the small dust blower/brush tool I mentioned a second ago. This dust blower/brush tool is easily small enough to fit in a crowded backpack or smaller camera case. Granted, it's not as powerful (or rugged) as the Rocket Air Blower, but it gets the job done just so long as the job involves dust on a lens or camera body. I wouldn't recommend using it on a sensor (same for the lens pen, by the way). As far as the other items in the 5-piece lens cleaning kit goes, what's there to say about q-tips? Clean your lens with them, clean your ears; it's win-win for your camera and your hygiene. I haven't used the q-tips, the lens tissues, or lens cleaning solution yet and doubt if I ever will, but who knows. They're nice to have handy just in case. This 5-piece lens cleaning kit comes in its own carboard box when you receive this Giottos Kit.


Cameta Microfiber Cleaning Cloth:

This cloth does the trick. It's nothing fancy, but the plastic packet/container that it comes in is a nice touch and is sturdy enough not to tear when the cloth is folded and kept in it. I've used this cleaning cloth several times along with the lens pen and have no issues with it. It actually did a lot better job of cleaning a lens than the more expensive lens cleaning cloth I had purchased locally.


Sure, this review is a tad bit long, but I had time on my hands. Hopefully it gave some idea of what you get when you buy this kit. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Of course there's always that small chance you will get a lemon in the kit, but that goes with any other purchase here or elsewhere. I feel that I got my money's worth out of Giottos.

The rocket blower and lens pen alone are $20+, so this is a great deal. The rocket blower is fantastic and helps tremendously with dust. The lens pen helps get lenses fantastically clean. Absolutely recommend this kit.

Everything you see here is a fantastic deal. Can't ask for a better deal. Individually, everything would be so much more to buy. All products are of high quality. Essential for the starting or veteran photographer at home or on road.

I am happy to have so many options for cleaning lenses. I am a novice in photography, so I didn't have anything to use for lens cleaning. I like having a variety of cleaners. The lenspen travels easily. The other items I use at home.

I contacted customer service at Cameta Camera about using the lenspen. They were very kind and helpful. There are directions on the back of the lenspen package as well.

I really only bought this for the lens pen and blower, but the microfiber cloth is also great to have in your bag.

Just received this "Giottos" kit today in the mail. The Giottos blower is an awesome tool (there are enough reviews about it), so is the lens pen. As for the rest, it isn't worth paying the extra money (at all...)
1) The cap of the lens cleaning liquid bottle doesn't close after you first open it -> trash
2) the lens cleaning tissue, supposedly "lint free", left lint on the lens, especially at the region where you screw-in your filters -> trash
3) 4 Cotton swabs
4) Little blower brush -> very pool quality
5) Microfiber cleaning cloth is good.

Overal mixed feelings regarding this kit, good quality stuff (blower + lens pens) associated with poor quality "made in china" cleaning accessories.

The air blower works like a charm. Its the most valuable piece of the kit. It cleaned of the dust particles from the sensor of my camera first pass.

Best thing I've seen to help keep my camera, lenses and filters clean. A must have at a good price.
