Timeless art.,

This review is from: Giovanni Bellini (Hardcover)
This is a quite a good book on the art of Giovanni Bellini; it has many colored images and the text is acceptable but somehow not very captivating. As many art books, it has some idiosyncrasies - for example, it discusses in detail the Feast of the Gods picture without the image; and as a rule, all images in the book do not show the year of the picture; one must look at the end in the Indexes where pictures are grouped by location before the alphabetical name. This makes it much more difficult to trace the development of this artist.
