The Giovanni Signature Robe is selling on LivingSocial, Groupon and a variety of different sites for $49/robe with an actual value of $199. I ordered 10, sight unseen and even upgraded to the 3 letter monograms. I am SUCH an idiot. There is no way this robe would ever sell for $199. If you saw it, you wouldn't even pay $20 for it!
How bad are they? These robes are made with a cheap flimsy cotton weave that is so thin that it is see-through. (Don't answer your front door wearing this.) Even the collar is cheaply made. The "one size fits all" doesn't work -they are HUGE, and made for an obese person of 300 pounds. If you are tall and thin or short and thin, this robe will look ridiculous on you. God forbid you are under 5'5"- these robes will trail on the floor.
As for all those "reviews" and testimonials on their website for this robe, they are obviously fake.
I'd searched online but there were no reviews available before I bought this robe using a LivingSocial deal for $49. And time was ticking on this amazing deal...! I was surprised when it arrived in a baggy envelope rather than in a box, thinking, "this can't be the robe?!" but indeed it was. I've never worn a robe that's simultaneously too large and yet nearly transparent, so this was a first. There's no way I can wear it if anyone else is around. Agree 100% with the other reviewers. Buyer beware.
This robe is in no way worth what they are charging for this. They claim Egyptian Cotton and that is truly their only value, even then it is not very well done., The robe is super thin and sheer. The Egyptian Cotton must not be a very high thread count, my $100 egyptian cotton sheets are much softer than this thing. Luckily I bought two on the living social deal and spent $80, I truly feel sorry for anyone that pays full boat or even the Amazon selling rate. This company has found a way to rob you blind that is for sure....
