Book Description

May 20, 2002 9 and up4 and up
Girl Child Saturday, Book Three is a continuation of the stories told in the first book, Girl Child Saturday and Girl Child Saturday, Book Two. The stories are in the form of a children's fantasy, appealing to children between the ages of 6 and 12, and to the child in all of us. Its style lends itself to being read aloud to younger children. The setting of the story is the Forest, where all the animals and birds are known as the Folk of the Forest, Girl Child Saturday is a little girl mouse with an unusual talent she is not even aware of. She is able to see into the heart of things. The Hierarchy of the Forest, Eagle, Badger and Armadillo, aware of her talent, call upon her to help avert all sorts of dangers threatening the Forest and the Folk who live there. Each chapter, standing on its own, describes the resolution of a particular situation occurring in the Forest.
