. 'B' grade musical programmer THE GIRL FROM MONTEREY is the story of a Mexican nightclub singer (Lita) who finds herself torn between brother (Baby) and lover (Jerry). Lita hopes to get a scheduled middleweight boxing match between the two men cancelled. The manager of her brother's opponent tries to distract Baby from training by hiring a girl to seduce him. Film's highlights are the realistic ring scenes.
