My daughter saved up her money to purchase this toy. We followed the instructions and tried to make the chilled treats twice. Both times we basically made a chocolate gloppy mess. This item does not work as advertised and my daughter is very disappointed.

This toy is so bad. It comes with a packet and you put it in water and that makes the mousse. The machine only swirls it. The mousse tastes soooooo bad. It is advertised to be creamy, but it comes out all defluffied.

My kids will eat just about anything and even they voted the "ice cream" (in reality some sort of disgusting chemically over-sweet NOT COLD pudding) this contraption made disgusting. Over priced. A hassle. A million tiny pieces. DO NOT GET THIS!!!

This product is awful! Not only was the machine cheap and didn't work very well but the treats were discussing! In fact, it was so bad I would be concerned with a child eating it. I bought this for my niece and was embarrassed when she used it for the first time. We may try again with a package of Jell-O Pudding but threw out all the remaining products. If I could have given this a 0 stars I would have!

If you're looking for a fun cooking game - go back to the old stand-by and get an Easy Bake Oven!

My daughter got this as a gift for Christmas. We tried it once, it was horrible, took it back the very next day. It does not even make "chilled" treats. You make the treat out of a powder mix & water, swirl it through the treat maker, THEN you can freeze it yourself if you want it to actually be chilled. This mostly just made a mess.

My seven year-old got this Chill Treats Dessert Maker for her birthday. She and her eight year-old friend were very excited about trying it out. It says for six and older, so we let them play with it themselves. They quickly needed our help. The instructions were quite involved; there were lots of pieces to assemble and some mixing was required.

Basically, mix the treat (we get a choice of chocolate or vanilla), put it in the treat maker and push to extract. If you put the gel in the treat maker, the resulting treat will look like soft serve striped with green gel. Chill, add topping, eat.

It doesn't taste too bad, considering how treats from these types of toys sometimes do taste like. It's hard to describe, maybe sort of like a cold frosting. (We must put it in the freezer for a few minutes after pumping it out.)

Each bag of mix doesn't make much treat. In fact, it would be easier to buy frozen yogurt or ice cream and put it in. to get that soft serve with a swirl of color.

I'm never thrilled with these types of toys. They always come with too many pieces to keep track of and wash and adults have to help. At least this one comes with the option to use ice cream from home, so I'm not at the mercy of buying more mixes. The kids did enjoy it, so I'll give a bump in ratings for that.

My daughter received this for her 6th birthday. It definitely requires parental supervision. My 6 year old could probably do it on her own, but not without making a gigantic mess. I measured things for her and she did the pouring and stirring. Like all of the other reviews stated, it doesn't actually make anything, it's just a really neat dispenser. But I'm not complaining about that, as I seen the fun value in it.

The mixes are completely awful, and as a mom of two girls, I'm plenty used to easy bake oven desserts and all sorts of other concoctions, so my expectations were not high. Both the chocolate and vanilla had a nasty bitter after taste. It reminded me of frosting with too much red dye in it. Thankfully it doesn't actually MAKE anything so we can use it with other items. We will try jell-o next and maybe soft serve ice cream. There are a lot of small pieces, but clean up was relatively easy. I just dumped it all in a bowl of hot soapy water and let it sit for a few minutes and then rinsed.

This toy is a joke. It claims to be a chilled dessert maker, and attempts to appear to be an ice cream machine. Reality check? It is a hole with a funnel you are to push their mixed chemical dessert down with a pump. The pump works once, then you have to take it apart, make sure the mix s in the right place with the spatula, then pump one more time, then repeat repeat repeat. So dumb. DO NOT BUY.
