The candy ring maker is really fun, except for it doesn't come with much icing and the refills are kind of expensive. It's worth the money for the refills though, and if you are careful you can make the icing last. Overall I think it is a great toy!

My eight year old daughter was able to open this toy (which she really wanted), read the directions, set it up and execute it independently. And it worked. They came out just like the picture, and even have these cute little domes to harden under or, maybe give as gifts. I was actually surprised and thought this was a quality product. Not one to keep forever, but fun and does what is says it does.
The reason it gets four stars instead of five is that it only comes with two ring bases. This would have been so cute if it came with ten (they're plastic) to make and give away to her friends. We bought the accompanying refill set for her - and it gives you more stuff, and even some different cute candies - but no ring bases. If they update this toy and supply more rings, would absolutely buy again and would make a great gift for girls around this age group

This is basically just plastic rings that you set candy on and add sprinkles and frosting. Also comes with candy string to make a necklace by stringing the candy on it. My daughter likes it somewhat.

This product is fun for little girls but it has a lot of little parts and is only good for one time use only. If you are planning to use it only one time then it is great.

Bought this for my daughter, was disappointed. I am surprised that none of the other reviews mention that the candy circles do not stay on the plastic ring. The directions say to place two candy circles/rings onto the plastic ring holder - the second one falls off too easily. So once you put the frosting on, if you try to dip/roll the ring in the candy toppings, the top candy circle/piece falls off. If you try it using only one of the candy rings, it's not tall/big enough. Definitely a design flaw, IMO. The little plastic piece that sticks up (that you insert the candy ring on top of) needs to be a little longer. We will try using the rest for a candy necklace. I only paid $5 for this kit; if it's more than that, not worth it! My daughter did like the taste of the candy and the frosting.

Candy ring maker....,

This toy is alot of fun, for both me and my kids. We did have a little trouble with the frosting because it spreads on to thin, because if you put to much on your frosting will run out quick. Also make sure that you keep it away from like a dog, or an animal when you have the candy open and out because some of the candy is really small, so if it drops on the floor or carpet its hard to pick up.
Over all this is a really fun and creative thing to do with your kids, its defently not a ripoff, lol.

The candy rings consist of large, hard sweettarts. You top that with frosting and sprinkles. It's soooo sweet, my 7 yr old daughter didn't even like it. The Ring maker itself is no maker at all. It's just a holder for the sprinkles and finished rings. Very disappointing.

My 7 year old got this for Christmas and she particularly likes the strawberry rings best, while her 6 year old sister loves the peach ones--how perfect!
It doesn't take long to make them and it keeps them occupied for quite awhile to eat them! But I'm sure the sugar intake is huge.

I didn't give the toy super high ratings because it is what it is...without refills, the toy is good for one use, and there isn't too much to it that you couldn't put together on your own after a quick trip to the grocery store. For the same amount of money, you can pick up marshmallows, icing and colored sugar and non-pariels. However, the ring maker does have refills that are sold separately, and for a cute gift for a birthday party, the price was right and the girl was excited about the gift.

I loved ring pops when I was a kid, so I had just as much fun as my kids did with this product.
