First I must confess to being a guy so maybe not the target audience. Haven said that I think this is a great book regardless of your gender. What I really liked about this book was that it took the fear out of investing. I am a qualified accountant yet investing still filled me with dread. This book broke down the whole mystery of investing into simple steps and gave me the confidence to just go ahead and start!

This book is a must have for everyone interested in getting their financial houses in order. Both of these women spoke at a networking brunch I attended in San Francisco on Mar.6'04. I bought the book (yes, it is signed by both of them) and started reading it on my way home. This book is full of tips on clearing your debt, ways to supplement your income, how to save your money, steps to help you understand your spending habits, information to help you understand investing and your investment options, planning for retirement...I could go on. I've been sharing information with friends everyday, so I'm going to just get them their own books!

Is retirement looming in your future with a big question mark? Do you still need to do more financial planning for this event? Are you on the verge of bankruptcy? Do you need to learn more about investing? Do you want to create more wealth? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then you should read GIRL, MAKE YOUR MONEY GROW! This is a true sister-to-sister conversation about using what you already have to build your nest egg--you. Glinda Bridgforth and Gail Perry-Mason tell us that we are our biggest assets and then they show us how to harness our talents and skills to be more productive financially. Bridgforth and Perry-Mason should be applauded for their efforts to educate and arm African-American women with the tools necessary to attain more income. The plan they've outlined and presented is straightforward, logical and concise. They have even provided testimonials from those who have tried their plan and they themselves have included their own personal stories for inspiration. This book is awesome. All women should know the secrets within the pages of this novel. It takes the mystery out of investing. For those of you struggling with your finances or those that simply want to increase your net worth, read this book; it will change your outlook on how to increase your income and motivate you to begin now.

Because of this book I am like the financial advisor for the family. This book gave me the courage and a greater understanding of the financial ins and outs. I am still in college and love to check my stock. This book was so worth the buy. It is great for anyone who is new to the world of stocks and investing.

I love this book so much. Glinda breaks down investing step by step. I love her encouragement and belief in the success of the reader to learn more about investing. I'm starting to follow her advice and reap the great rewards. I bought her first book after reading this treasure. Buy Now. Stop living Check to Check.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Every woman, especially women of color, should read this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it without reservation or hesitation whatsoever. The moment you pick it up, you probably will not want to put it down.

What I enjoyed the most was its practicality no matter what your financial situation is. The section on writing down your goals is significant. If you carefully, and prayerfully, read this book, you will have all the confidence you need to straighten out your financial situation. It will definitely make an immediate difference on your philosophy of investing and preparing for retirement. I beg you on hands and knees to buy it without delay! You will be soooooooooooooooooooooo glad you did!

This is the first popular book on finance I've ever read that didn't make me want to go out and cut my throat because I'd been so stupid and now it was too late! Instead, the authors explain how to think in terms of abundance, not deprivation, and explain how it's NEVER too late.

Another great thing about this book is that it integrates saving and investing into your life, not just your lifestyle, and shows how they can actually enhance your value system.

Buy it. It's the WHAT COLOR IS YOUR PARACHUTE of investing.

I must admit when I first accepted the fact I needed to plan for my financial future I was afraid. Because I come from a background of hard working people without any savings. My family's financial guidance was limited, but thank you Jesus they equipped me with a college education and now I provided them with guidance on their finances. I have shared copies of this book to enlighten my family and friends. Thank You Jesus, for blessing Glinda with the gift of financial guidance. This is a must have book for everyone serious about their future.

A truly wonderful book. However there is a crucial element that must be addressed in light of what is coming down the pike at us "Girls". If you read Arnold's The Great Bust Ahead (or visit the book's website at thegreatbustahead.com) you will gain insights into what may be the greatest depression in history beginning just a few years from now. This will probably affect women the most, and women (and men) of color more than others. So, whatever us Girls can make by following Glinda's advice needs to be protected (i.e. not lost in the coming depression) by reading Arnold's advice.

Girl, Make Your Money Grow is a book about how women these days need to take charge and learn how to properly manage their money. This book is full of great advice and I highly recommend it to any woman going through a significant financial struggle or women who are trying to avoid one.

The book will teach you how to not live paycheck to paycheck, and create a more wealthy and stable future. From clearing away debt to understanding bonds and funds, this book will walk you through step by step in the direction to better understanding your money.

Also what's good about this book is it is written by single women and those with families who understand different financial needs. This is a very exciting and reliable book.
