one of my all-time favourites
If you want a film that whisks you off to warm, summer climes shot in beautiful technicolour, with catchy tunes and romance, this is the film for you! Jane Powell faces the questions all women must face sooner or later: should she marry the rich man or the poor one? should she take off on a spur-of-the-moment holiday or not? should she swim to the yacht or not...

color too faded
The sound is good. The story and music are good. But, the picture quality is very poor and extremely faded. Darkening the picture didn`t help much. Not a good buy for the price. My copy had the same VHS picture and was issued by an unknown company, so I presume this VHS is the same.

If you want a film that whisks you off to warm, summer climes shot in beautiful technicolour, with catchy tunes and romance, this is the film for you!Jane Powell faces the questions all women must face sooner or later: should she marry the rich man or the poor one? should she take off on a spur-of-the-moment holiday or not? should she swim to the yacht or not? This film is just so much fun! Jane Powell positively glows in this beautifully shot film that she carries off with ease. The supporting cast is great. Catchy song-and-dance sequences like "All the Colors of the Raibow" and "Old Balboa" will keep you humming long after the film is over. I try to watch this gem once a year, especially when the snow falls and I want an imaginary holiday! I don't know what quality this VHS is, but let's hope someone somewhere will release this on dvd. Own it, and you, too, will be singing and seeing pink clouds! The Girl Most Likely (1957 Motion Picture Soundtrack)
