4.0 out of 5 stars Next Door Girl, July 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Girl Next Door (MP3 Download)
This is an upbeat high schoolish jam about the cliquish nature of high schools. Having a certain amount of jealousy towards the cheerleaders because some of them believe they should and do have everything. So what's the "plain Jane" with bookish smarts and a winning personality to do ? Apparently, you pick up a guitar and vent a resentful and rhonchus jam about what it feels like to be the other girl without the looks and superficial prestige of being a high school cheerleader. This resentment is brought to bear by the edgy and embittered vocals of Marti Dodson--whom I have a hard time believing was ever just the "Girl Next Door."
