The Bombshell sings,
By Mycroft "Virture is its own punishment" (Charleston, Oregon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Girl in the Other Room (Audio CD)
This is the CD which proves Diana Krall is more than blonde hair and curves. In a market overcrowded with singers who are all show and no sound Ms Krall makes music seem inadaquate to describe what she does with a lyric and piano. The fact that this CD is filled with her own compositions and that they are all better than the usual standards she covers makes it a true showcase of this talented lady's art. The moody, bitter-sweet Girl In The Other Room and the smoky, sizzling Temptation will keep you up at night, one with dark dreams of trotured souls and the other with some less savory considerations. This is the best of some very good CDs. Buy it as a present this year, (Even though its been out a while) and make your pals squirm and twist with their inadaquate gift-giving. The Blonde is back and better than ever.
