Book Description

Isabelle is a 30-something, romantically challenged, girl who feels her life is wasting away working at a shoe store of all places. She's an attractive girl who spends most of her day rejecting the raging hormones of the teenage boys that frequent her shop.

One night, while working in the store, she meets a talented and very attractive professional photographer. She finds his charm irresistible and the evening leads in to a photo shoot that neither of them will soon forget.

Follow along as Isabelle's life is changed forever when her new man introduces her to the luxurious life of a rich and famous photographer.

This story is not for children. It contains descriptions of sexual acts and language not fit for immature audiences.

3.0 out of 5 stars ;0/ August 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Story: FAIRLY GOOD
Intimacy Level: GOOD
Enjoyment: FAIR
Length: 644 kindle / 36 pages

The weirdest thing I can say, is that I actually like what the author did with this story. However, I didn't get to enjoy it. I like the whole stalker, rich, photographer concept. I also like the girl in the shoe store, I'm not really happy concept. But when both met, everything was happening so fast within the scenes, I personally didn't have time to enjoy what was going on. It felt like I was reading the story on super speed. It is a novella, but Isabelle and Mitch should be better developed no matter how short of a story this is. As I mentioned earlier, I liked this story and the whole concept of it, but tweaked differently, this could potentially become something really good. And even with just a 3 stars rating and nothing less, this should tell you how much I liked the concept of what the author was doing with the story.

The other thing I wanted to mention, Isabelle's reason for being mad at Mitch for being rich, was not believable, but I worked with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Girl In The Shoe Store August 24, 2012
By Jessica

Isabelle is watching life pass her by outside the windows of the shoe store that she works in. This isn't the life she expected for herself; she's a college graduate, she's attractive and yet she's alone and miserable. Mitch is a successful photographer who's noticed the sad woman who works at the shoe store. He decides to approach her and never expected to like her as much as he does. The girl in the shoe store throws caution to the wind and embraces what she has with Mitch and the feeling of being alive.

The cover is really hot, and I guess it led me to expect a little more from this than what I got. That's not to say that this isn't a nice story, it is; it's just not what I expected. This is a sweet type of relationship, not an intense, hot affair. The sex scenes are nice, the characters are nice, the story line is nice... and basically it's just NICE. There wasn't anything really striking or memorable about this.

::::::::::::Spoiler-ish::::::::::::

My complaint with this would be the "love" deal; they barely know each other, and the story didn't have enough depth for love declarations to feel realistic. It's okay to end a story where the characters have only been together once or twice without dropping the L bomb, it's not a requirement.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it. September 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Girl In The Shoe Store (Picture This - Book 1) by Amy Jensen didn't do much for me. Honestly. This short story is only 36 pages approximately and at the price of $2.99 (Free if you are a Prime Member) it doesn't feel worth it. If you can get it free, go for it. Pay for it? Not recommending it. It's too fast. It's too convenient. It's too fake.
