From the Back Cover

As women, we are relational by design. We long to communicate and share. Simply put, we are made to connect. (Just take a look at your cell phone bill.) But in the frenzy of everyday life, friendships are often the first casualty on an overwhelming to-do list.

Author Jen Hatmaker believes it’s time to reprioritize. Girl Talk is a fun, fresh Bible study with a focus on friendship. In this five-week series, Jen takes a girlfriend-next-door look at what makes relationships tick. You’ll discover God’s design for community, how to avoid harmful people, and the five levels of communication that nurture intimacy.

Most of all, you’ll share life with women on the same journey as you--which is what friendship is all about.

About the Author

Jen Hatmaker, author of A Modern Girl’s Bible Study series, knows all about talking. In addition to her writing duties, she travels around the country speaking at retreats and conferences for women. Jen and her husband, Brandon, reside with their three children in Austin, Texas.

JEN IS A WONDERFUL AUTHOR, SHE HAS A REAL GIFT FOR GETTING HER POINT ACROSS IN A VERY FUN, INTERESTING WAY. I CAN REALLY RELATE TO THE STORIES ABOUT HER OWN LIFE AND LOVE THE WAY SHE LINKS THEM TO THE EVENTS IN THE BIBLE TO SHOW US THE RELEVANCE OF GOD'S WORD IN OUR LIVES TODAY.

We have a women's group that meets each week. We haven't started to regroup yet, Jan. 7, 2014 is our first meeting. I have read the first chapter and I am blown away. Jen Hatmaker is a genius. How does she seem to know just what I need to hear? Like I said I have read the first chapter and have five pages of note, journaling and questions. VERY thought provoking.
