Susie Shellenberger is the editor of "Brio" magazine for teen girls, published by Focus on the Family. She's a former youth pastor and high school speech and drama teacher. Susie has written 36 books. She has a passion for MKs and has been on every continent of the world (yes, even Antarctica). Susie sometimes eats cereal for dinner and is led on a walk around the park every day by her 150-pound Saint Bernard, Bosco.

I think this is a wonderful book for Christian girls who want to grow in their faith but don't know how. It makes prayer so attractive and easy! After reading this book, you will want to pray, I guarantee it. Every teenage Christian girl should read this book.

Susie Shellenberger, the editor of Brio and Brio & Beyond magazines, compiled this book from all the "God Said, I Said" articles that appeared in Brio nad Brio and Beyond over the years. She added a few new articles and some commentary for this book. The result is that this book is one of the best books I've ever read on the subject matter of prayer. The book, which is several converstaions between a girl and God on topics ranging from questioning Christianity to sex, is a very good read. In it you learn how to pray from the heart based on the girl's conversations with God, and Susie sums up the articles with some comments on how to use them in real life, i.e., get comfortable enough with God to tell Him everything. I really liked this book and would recommend it to any Christians I know, because it is an excellent book on prayer.

This book is O.K. I'm not going to say it's great. Susie Shellenburger, the editor of Brio magazine has helpful things to say in this book, but the way she shares it (conversation form) can get a little confusing, and annoying. At some points, it's hard to follow. I also worry that it might be hard to relate to. You had to be in almost the same position as the girl for it to help. If she had written this information down as a devotional form, I believe it could be a great book, however, the way she chose turned me away.
