i Just want to say i had the pleasure of meeting Anita Bobbs Radney, and i found her to be an inspiration to others, myself included. her book focused on things that are happening to some of us everyday, but we don't even know it. In the end this was one of the most interesting books i have ever read, and has made me want to write my memoirs. Anita...thanks for a great book. Can't wait for the next one.

A must read,
This review is from: A Girl Trapped in a Woman's Body (Paperback)
I loved this book and read it within a few days. She made me feel her pain and be thankful that I never had to grow up in those conditions. It also made me realize if this young girl can withstand all of this drama with very little resources and still be successful and loving, then I certainly can take control of my life as a young adult.

bringing what's done in the dark to the light,

This review is from: A Girl Trapped in a Woman's Body (Paperback)
I want to thank Ms. Radney for bringing these dark issues to the light. This is just the beginning of healing for our people. Denise's character touches every one of us on a different level and she really challenges the status quo. Denise and her husband Troy are true heroes for the black community that is plagued with these issues. Please read the book and support our black authors who are writing about things other than hustling.
