This book is an excellent read. From start to finish, it has everything which leaves the reader spellbound. You will fall in love with the dolphins who each have a unique personality of their own, not to mention incredible intelligence. This book would make a fantastic movie. I would love to see it on the big screen.

A Great Backdrop For An Ongoing Saga,
This review is from: The Girl Who Rode Dolphins (Paperback)
This volume is stimulating in many ways. From Javolyn's honor and heroism, to the tender-caring, righteous, and naive nature of Destiny each character is carefully honed in each chapter. A multitude of sub-plots visited and re-visited until they are fully developed and merging into the climactic end at the last chapter. Full of military, scuba, engineering, technical gadgetry jargon to expand the mind of the uninformed and make those in such fields feel at home. It is a story of good verses evil with many action sequences and close calls reminisce of agent 007. It has a little of everything (action, romance, andventure, geography, history, etc. too much to list). At 711pgs completing the read is an accomplishment. However, the saga proves to be rewarding in the end. I hope Mr. Ganas will continue the work of the dolphins in developing their colony by supplementing what seems to be a base volume with shorter follow-up volumes to keep us abreast of how these intelligent creatures fair in their desire to change the hearts of a multitude no man can number.

Exciting adventure novel!,

This review is from: The Girl Who Rode Dolphins (Paperback)
The Girl Who Rides Dolphins is the first novel of a brilliant and exciting new storyteller. Although not a short story, the information presented is well researched and the intrigue keeps you interested and involved to the end. This novel compels you to take a step back, look at the world today, and wonder what is really going on. It's an interesting and engaging tale and I'm looking forward to his next work.

The premise and the plot for this book were pretty good, but it was 1/3 too long. I found myself mentally crossing out words and editing paragraphs - it was quite distracting. The John Ringo-style military tech was cool, as were the friends in low places. The girl and the dolphins were intriguing, and their interactions with the "modern world" put some new spin on old topics.
But the words just droned on and on.

I enjoyed this book so much I couldn't put it down. I finished it a few months ago and wanted to share my opinion but got occupied with the holidays. Now that Haiti is in the news every night I decided it was time to write my thoughts. First of all thanks to my husband, Elliott, I was able to read the book on my Kindle. This allowed me to easily look up an amazing number of words, more words than I have ever had to previously while reading a novel. I enjoyed increasing my vocabulary, learning about the history of Haiti and its people as well as the US involvement in the war on terrorism. I love the water, tropical fish, dolphins, snorkeling, and SCUBA. As others observed this story is hopeful and uplifting. Linda Lum

A thoroughly engrossing book, a real page turner. Not only is this book action packed and fast paced, but it also has a bit of mystery and mysticism. Interesting facts and history are interspersed within the pages along with food for thought. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves adventure from such authors as Ian Fleming or Clive Cussler.
