5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone interested in girl culture, April 6, 2007

This review is from: Girl Wide Web: Girls, the Internet, and the Negotiation of Identity (Intersections in Communications and Culture: Global Approaches and Transdisciplinary Perspectives) (Paperback)
This is one of the best books I've come across that really assesses how girls are using the Internet - everything from commercial sites, to personal webpages, blogs, and fandom. The overall tone is balanced and hopeful and avoids the media-hype moral-panic that other works tend to attach to young girls online. Gives new insight while also providing a springboard for future research.
