4.0 out of 5 stars Lost & Found September 5, 2008
Format:Audio CD
I had no idea that QuarterFlash made album past Back InTo The Blue.
This sad but rare gem, the sad part is that this was originaly
supposed to released in the US .
This is what I could gather by various of outlets.
was the beginning of the end of AOR.
It really started with Spandau Ballet last release Heart Like The Sky
as a import only?.
Anyways This was marketed to Euorpean market only
So little is known about this release.
It's QuarterFlashes best release.
Very soulful album, the only song that is sub par is Girl In The Wind.
The rest is A+++ it's ashame! that very few people know about this.
I have to say I very luckey, to have this in cd for a very cheap price.
It has been re-released by marv & rindy ross check google,
under quarterflash fanpage. It's lacking to songs from the original
Paint it Blue & Diamond Diamond In The Rough, but has three unreleased tracks.
If you obtain this for good price then go for it.
you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Re: Quarterflash May 10, 2006
Format:Audio CD
For the past few years, Quarterflash has reunited, doing one to two concerts a year in Oregon. When not doing Quarterflash, Marv and Rindy Ross stay musically busy with the Trail Band.

Truly,

Robert Bernardo

P.S. Girl in the Wind has great music!

5.0 out of 5 stars Girl in the Wind an outstanding collection of songs October 6, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Girl in the Wind which came out in the mid 90's is arguably Quarterflash's best work and one of the best collections of songs made during a period that ushered in a long drought of good music in the classic rock era. Why this CD was sold only in Europe and Japan will be always be a mystery and ranks right up there with some of the biggest mistakes ever made by a record company. Girl in the Wind featured a strong ballad titled "Is it any wonder" that earned some airplay in the band's home town of Portland, Oregon. This song should have made the AC charts with a bullet. Other great songs include "Diamond in the Rough" , "Something More", the catchy "That's Where I Stand" and the title track. Girl in the Wind represents the melt down of the record industry and the many mistakes made in the boardroom of Sony Records. This CD is killer and should have been widely distributed. If you can get your hands on a copy, do it because you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Flash Perfect September 29, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Girl in the Wind is the band's 4th studio album and recorded after their string of radio and MTV friendly hits had pretty well dried up. A REAL pity since this is their best overall effort. The CD kicks off with Something More - everything you like about Quarterflash in one joyous rocker. That's Where I Stand comes next. While this is a love song of sorts, it is also an affirmation and you will find yourself singing the chorus - That's Where I Stand in the car and at work. The third track, Girl In The Wind, is another hard charging song with the signature Quarterflash sound. Of their contemporaries, Quarterflash had most in common with the Bangles and Katrina and the Waves. Catchy. Great sax and guitar. Exceptional harmonies. While this CD has other standout tracks like Diamond in the Rough and the lovely haunting ballad, Let Somebody Love You, I believe that the 1-2-3 punch that kicks off this CD ranks the Girl in the Wind my overall Top 20. You will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A true gem, worth finding. March 31, 2006
By G.
Format:Audio CD
One of the best albums of all time. If you ever have the chance to listen to this amazing gem, please do. Great music like this is now impossible to find. Each song reaches you. Quarterflash is classic pop rock from the 80's and early 90's. Their third release BACK INTO BLUE CD is also worth a listen. If you are lucky enough to find this CD get it. I assure you that you will not be dissapointed. Music like this is worth it. I ONLY HOPE THAT QUARTERFLASH reunites and releases another great CD.
