One Word: AMAZING, April 4, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
This CD Single is just awesome!! Girlfriend is a Good Song But what will Shock you is Her B-Side Track Alone. It is an Amazing Song with Beautifully worded Lyrics.
Part of the Chorus:
You're so obvious,
you're so oblivious,
and now you wonder why,
you're the one alone.
Definite must buy for any Avril Lavigne Fans and even if you don't like Avril Lavigne, You will LOVE Alone!!

HEY HEY YOU YOU!, July 11, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
What can I say...this song sounds great in the car or in the club. The video is even better than the song. I love how she plays the different girlfriends and is trying to get with the guy. The video does this song justice. Anyhoo about the song I love it. I think it's Avril's best song since "Complicated." You can tell she is back and in a big way. If you like Avril download this song now!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I was very disappointed with the song 'girlfriend' which is a sugar pop sound with punk music but when I listened to the song 'Alone' which I downloaded from her fansite, I REALLY LOVE IT. It is very amazing. A very very good ROCK song. I give to this single just because of 'Alone'. Don't get wrong. Buy it!!! You'll see it's worth to buy!!!

Avril has seriously regressed with this song, December 19, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
Avril Lavigne burst on to the scene in 2001 with a punky, bratty sound that could be equal parts annoying and catchy. How else do you describe songs like "Sk8r Boi" and "Complicated". But, given that she was young and new, it could be forgiven, especially since her songs, musically and lyrically, were evolving and maturing impressively. Songs off her 2nd album, "Under My Skin", like "Nobody's Home" and "My Happy Ending" illustrate this.
Unfortunately, "Girlfriend" is a serious, SERIOUS step back. The music captures the annoying vibe of "Sk8r Boi" and the lyrics are so incredibly childish that I could get an 8th grader to write something more mature. By itself, this song is unbelievably terrible, but then Avril compounds the pain by remixing it with 2007's most grating new artist, Lil Mama ("Lip Gloss").
"Girlfriend" is such a backward move that Avril's attempts to return to her more serious leanings with songs like "When You're Gone" fall flat because the bad taste left by this song.

Disposable as the next empty, pop shell of a song. 2.2 stars., November 10, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
With each release, this chick has steadily gotten worse!! Will it be even worse with the next release?? I doubt it. It should be a bit more polished, and a bit more serious then this crap!
I don't like Avril too much these days. But strangely, I'm totally Happy that She decided to settle down, with a great Guy like Derrick. I seriously wish them the very, VERY Best, and I can only Hope for Avril's musical style to improve on the next release.
2.2 stars.

Avril Still Rocks, October 2, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
This CD Single shows us the still-rocking Avril, just because the song could sound a little bit pop does not mean that, 'cause here you can see the happy Avril, she did what she wanted to, I like this song and the CD because shows me a real Avril, another face of her.
Go on Avril!!!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
ok what the hell has happened to avril? her old cd's were waaay better. like this is soo not her. i thought let go and under my skin were better. this is more hyper bouncy kinda songs..not really like her at all. ok i gotta admit this song is pretty catchy but i heard the other songs on youtube of her new cd and they're crap. she's basically talking. not singing. so i'd advise not to get it

She can do better, April 8, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I haven't heard the B-side. I cannot stop listening to Girlfriend, but it's not as good as her past stuff, and certainly not as good as her Let Go stuff. It has a really 'pop-y' sound, and I like the Let Go style better, and those fishnet stockings from the video do not suit her. Although I still like her, and this song is pretty good, it's not as good as her other stuff, so if you want Avril Lavigne stuff, you should get Let Go first.

fake poser?, April 19, 2007
This review is from: Girlfriend Pt.1 (Audio CD)
I've been hearing Avril Lavinge is worse than Ashlee Simpson and the Britney Spears clan. From what i hear from real punk rock musicians, she's a big wannabe poser. She pretends to play the guitar. Is this true? Anyways, I'd rather listen to Avril as opposed to Paris Hilton, Hillary Duff, and Lindsey Lohan because they make Avril Lavinge look good. I remember Lindsey Lohan's first album back cover, she was holding and looks like she was pretending to play the guitar. What a joke.....
