Most Helpful Customer Reviews

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Mike Reed VINE VOICE on October 21, 2005
Originally released in 1972, 'Girlrls' was the German krautrock band's second of just two (2) lp's. Not that much to get excited about here. However, there are a couple of decent moments, like the outstanding organ work on the reissue CD's opener "Eve Of Eternity" and the eight minute "Hallimasch" is alright. Line-up: Houschung Nejadepour - guitar & sitar, Bill Brown - bass, Rainer Bruninghaus - keyboards, Herbert J. Kalverman - saxophone and Detlev Landman - drums. Might appeal to some fans of Kraan, later day Guru Guru, Embryo and Out Of Focus. German label Garden Of Delights has, in the last several years released two archive CD's of the band. 'Close Encounter With...' and 'Bremen 1972'. Both are good live offerings.
