Great combo set, shame about the online info!, November 9, 2005
This review is from: Girls' Barbie Flower Helmet/Pad Set - Pink (Misc.)
I am writing this review primarily to let people know what to expect from this product, since Amazon/Toys R Us don't seem to have a clue - even the image was provided by a thoughtful customer. I bought this in-store at Toys R Us because sizing information was not available online (except for the size of the box, for some bizarre reason) and I didn't want to take a chance with getting the wrong size. So let me share that information with you - this helmet is suitable for head sizes from 20.5" to 22". I think overall that this is a great set, but I marked it down a point because it does not include elbow protection. From my own experience learning to skate or even snowboard, I can say that I would generally fall onto my knees or the heels of my hands, so knee pads and wrist guards would be perfect for me. But with a young child who knows?! This is for my niece (I am not a parent) and whilst I am generally happy with the set as it is, I think it would be nice to include the elbow protection (which is afterall available in other sets, but does not appear to be available separately) to make a complete safety package. Perhaps we are supposed to buy and extra set so we have the elbow pads and two sets of knee pads, or perhaps I am a touch too cynical!

The Box itself does not say it comes with any pads, December 12, 2009
This review is from: Girls' Barbie Flower Helmet/Pad Set - Pink (Misc.)
Whomever made up this listing did not know what they were doing. You cannot ever just go by a title and photo on Amazon because they let any Joe on here upload ANY photo they want to and add it to any item. I have seen GI Joe photos on Power Ranger listings. No clue why Amazon does this. Secondly on this particular item it never was made to come with pads. The box nowhere states it has any pads nor does the description on this listing state so. Yes it is deceiving if you just read the title and look at the photo and the person who created the listing should be held accountable for making it. Sellers list by UPC and yes it is their responsibility to make sure their item matches the description but in this case it is impossible to do so because it is not accurate. Therefore it is added in the sellers comments as to the condition. Please read EVERYTHING about ANY item you buy on Amazon and do not disregard the SELLERS COMMENTS on the item or you will be disappointed when you get your item because it is there for you to read that is why it is put there. Why should a seller be held accountable for the information they put there so you will KNOW what you are buying?

NO PADS AT ALL!, December 12, 2009
This review is from: Girls' Barbie Flower Helmet/Pad Set - Pink (Misc.)
This product sold with same picture used by other sellers also. There are no pads, no wrist pads, no knee pads, no elbow pads! Sold for 12.99 retail. I purchased it here for more after reading all the input, believing I was getting the wrist pads, which are hard to find and worth the extra cost. But once I recieve it and discover the truth the return policy tells you their not responsible for pics or descriptions by anyone other than seller! So if I return and dispute because the 'pads' description is actually part of the buyers 'title' description, maybe I'll get the 8.99 shipping back, maybe I won't!!! Sorry Amazon, I'll not buy from other sellers again....I'm mad!!!:0( Not the best way to find out only weeks before Christmas. And get this, the seller waited some 10 days before shipping it which got be that much closer and less likely to return. I imagine this a scheme that works more times than not. I might still do return...just for the principle of it all! And just go to the store and buy it.
