4.0 out of 5 stars Pushes the boundaries, July 15, 2006
By
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
When travelling by tube in London, anything can happen, and it does to Greta May. But even she couldn't imagine exactly what she was letting her self in for. Richard is the stranger on the train that cheekily encourages Greta to play a game of sex and adventure. With the opportunity to meet weird and wonderful people along the way and experience pleasure with added bite, this is one ride that Greta will never forget.

If you are, as I am, a female and of a sensitive disposition in a sexual sense, then this book will have you crossing your legs on more than one occasion. A Girl's Adventure caters for those who love to push the boundaries between pleasure and pain and I can't help but think that this will encourage the curious to buy. Despite this, I feel, that the novel is superbly written and I can't fault the depth of characterisation in any way. The storyline travels forward at a good pace and there's plenty of sexy action to be had.

Although this novel does not appeal to me(my tastes are geared less towards the painful side of things!), I'm positive it will be loved by many and enjoyed by even more.

4.0 out of 5 stars No bed left untried, June 13, 2006
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
Beware! This is not a book for the faint-hearted. The girl's adventures here are definitely not of the timid kind. There are no prim school outings, no tales of sluggish first dates. Instead it starts of as tantalisingly as a roller coaster ride ... on a tube actually ... locking you into an erotic encounter and lifting you up to a frenzy of sexual delight, as young Greta discovers that what she wants most of all in the world is not what she wants but rather to be told what she wants. And Richard who picks her up on the tube is definitely the man for the job, and the man who can find her other men to satisfy Greta's needs which seem to grow every bit as quickly as every man's desire for her. So this roller coaster does merely click upwards and then plunge down, it cleverly continue to climb, and to climb and to climb, through a series of increasily astonishing sexual manoeuvres. And the amazing thing is that author Chloe, who is obviously a girl who has enjoyed a few adventures herself in her time, is written in a delicate, artiful way that is not only convicing but pantingly stimulating as well. You may need a dictionary at times to follow every nuance, but you will also need a towel or two to wipe away the sweat.

5.0 out of 5 stars In An Erotic Spotlight, January 17, 2011
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
I was given this book by a friend - a girlfriend - as a birthday present. I'd never read any erotic fiction before and have to say it's pretty steamy stuff - at first, I was a bit shocked, but then the story draws you in and I started to see that there's a whole world out there to explore - in a literary sense, unless my luck changes.

The story is about Greta May, a failed actress who meets a `dark' stranger who draws her into his bizarre world of discipline and erotic pleasure. As Greta learns more about her own true nature she seizes the illusive prize: to play the role that will put her in the spotlight. What I liked was that this is a real story and we really feel for Greta as she goes through the erotic hoops that lead finally to her achieving her dream.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pony up for a rollicking erotic ride!, March 31, 2007
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
Chloe Thurlow reveals the secret, sexual desires of both women and men, and does it in such a way that the reader is liberated from all inhibitions and allowed free rein to experience the all-too real, yet hidden passions behind the masks of social conservatism we've all learned to wear. Too, it's such a pleasure to read erotica that is so well-written, so full of fire, and endowed with characters who are reflections of ourselves. Well done, Chloe. This is one exciting pony ride of sexual discovery from cover to cover. Sterling in every regard.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Alternate to Viagra, June 13, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
This is erotic literature at its, well, most erotic. Greta May is a girl who, in her good natured way, will go to any length in her quest for self-fulfillment. She is attracted to the enigmatic Richard who leads her on an electrifying journey, and cautions her never to ask any questions. What man needs Viagra when there is the adventurous Greta May to complete his fantasies? And its a lot healthier, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars She can write!, June 3, 2006
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
More over "Story of O," this is the way to write erotically! Chloe Thurlow knows how to set her sexy bits in a real structure, in a story that's actually going somewhere. This is left-handed reading where the reading itself is a treat and the denouement is worth waiting for. Jack Pizzey.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real adventure, August 10, 2011
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
Another great read from Chloe. As the story unfolds you share the the thoughts and feelings of Greta on her wonderful adventure. It made me wonder if we all need some kind of grooming and training before we reach adulthood. A good book and one I will enjoy to read again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Page-Turningly Erotic, July 22, 2011
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
This is a book that pushes the boundaries of BDSM and takes our heroine, Greta, an unsuccessful actress - into her greatest role, in a pony girl training camp buried in the heart of the countryside.

This could be a metaphor for the sort of training any actress would have to go through to reach the top, but metaphor schmetafor, the plot is believable and the action is page-turningly erotic.

Chloe Thurlow skilfully shows us that her trainer, the forceful and charismatic Richard, is slowly falling in love with his protege. By the time she is ready to go back to her first calling, the stage, Greta has grown poised and confident, while Richard realizes that he has lost her forever - unless the bonds that once tied the beauty will unravel and bring her back into his arms.

In maintaining the erotic tension while making us really care about the characters, this writer is hard to beat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compulsive & Sexy, May 19, 2011
This review is from: A Girl's Adventure (Paperback)
Greta May is a sweet girl who dreams of stardom, but lacks one essential ingredient: discipline. When she falls into the hands of Richard, a sort of de Sade figure, but handsome and charismatic, Greta agrees to allow him to "train her" as the perfect lover, concubine, slave and, finally, actress.

From water sports to pony games, from the severe thrash of the the leather belt to the sensual touch of a stranger on the London Underground (a totally erotic and believable encounter that made me race through the pages), like any good adventure, Greta romps from sexy scene to sexy scene until, completely and thoroughly herself, she appears on stage - naked - and where she wants to be, in the spotlight. The book is fun, compulsive and really sticks to the memory.
