To get the most out of Bad Girls of the Bible you need to do the work book. I learned so much more from the workbook than the book. I recommend all women read the book and do the work book.

Our church circle group is just finishing this book. Most of the women thoroughly enjoyed the lessons. There were a few who found it a frustrating change from our "normal" types of lessons. We are almost ready to begin The Really Bad Girls of the Bible by the same author. These books are interesting and have a really (and sometimes fun) different take on the same old stories,

Our womens group did this Bible Study and it's really great. We didn't use the workbook as the book itself has some great questions included at the end of each chapter... but I'm sure if you took the time to do the workbook you'd get even more out of it. Super good study for new-comers or old-timers!

It is nice to read about some modern day situations and compare them to some things that happened in the bible. There is nothing new under the sun.

Oh my stars......if you have never read Liz Curtis Higgs you are missing out!!! Bad Girls of the Bible is outstanding! The fictional story at the beginning of each Bad Girl, just sucks you in, you can see her, hear her...Oh my stars....you know her!!! Bad to the Bone, Bad for a Season, or Bad for the moment...we all have been there. Lizzy helps us to learn from these women, to love these women and to grow from these women. There are not many Bible studies about women for women and Liz Curtis Higgs brings it to us!! My Sunday School Class is starting this study and we are very excited. Read this awesome book and then decided.....are you Bad to the Bone, Bad for a Moment or Bad for a Season?????????????????

I have always wanted to read this book so was really excited to see it available for review from Waterbrook Multnomah. (I am a book review blogger and received a free copy.) The reason I wanted to read it was to see if I could use it for a girl's youth group bible study. Its contents did not disappoint. While I haven't used it yet, I do plan to. I also plan to use it for our ladies' ministry.

I think there's a deep need in the church for women to know that they are forgiven and can have their lives restored completely by the grace of God and the love of Christ. This book gives examples and then asks the questions that help women know that they can truly be forgiven. No one is perfect. And they can emerge with the confidence that they don't have to believe Satan's lies because Jesus makes them worthy. God's forgiveness makes it just as if it never happened.

Liz Curtis Higgs is an award-winning speaker and writer. She has addressed audiences around the world and is the author of eighteen books, including Bad Girls of the Bible, Really Bad Girls of the Bible, and Mad Mary.

Liz openly shares that she, too, was once a bad girl. I think this makes the book even more poignant and effective. I am more than thrilled to have this book and get to use it for my church. I give it five great big shining stars.

Bad Girls of the Bible gives a look at the notorious women of the Bible, such as Potiphar's wife and her premeditated deceit and underlying issues. Modern-day bad girl scenarios are interwoven with historical bad girl accounts through an examination of the possible "whys" - resulting in the question - is today's woman really that different? This book makes a good foundation for women's Bible groups.

The workbooks are in excellent condition & My Bible study group & I are using them with the book by the same name in our study. That is when we can meet & are NOT iced in our homes!!

This workbook is how I began to read the Bad Girls of the Bible. What's enduring is how the author engages in conversation by asking readers how they think and feel. The book was used for Christian Methodist Episcopal Church Women's Missionary Society Institute.

There seems to be a big difference in the time frame books are received. I've found that some sellers email and state they have your order, another email stating they shipped your order. About 25% of the time I receive books on the last day of the expected arrival date if not a day or two later. I have those booksellers marked and do not do business with them now. I track those sellers who actually mail when they say they do. I've been in the shipping business and know how media mail ranks, it shouldn't take the full time frame allowed. I sell books on amazon. When I get an order, I package and go to the post office on that day or the following day. My books have always arrived fast. I will continue to use this seller because of my experience with delivery and communication. THANKS!
