Catherine Dee's brilliant blend of quotes, poetry, stories, advice and honest questions are a must-read for every girl falling in or out of love. Everyone's heart is different-yet each can be touched by these pages. Just reading this book brought me on a journey through every emotion and love that I've ever felt.


This is the big sister that you always wish you had when it comes to matters of the heart.

Some items in this book made me laugh out loud, others made me nod my head knowingly or sigh. Catherine Dee has succeeded in including the funny, the serious and the sublime in a format that is friendly to women of all ages. It will remind the adults among us of many past and present events in our lives and conclusions we've reached, like the fact that when I put applesauce down the shirt of my camp counselor at the age of ten, it didn't get him to like me more. As for the young women out there - Enjoy this book full of love, laughter and wisdom. Women everywhere: Stick it in your purse to read while you're waiting for the bus, the board meeting or for the guy to bring back the popcorn.

This is a great, fun book for any teenage girl to flip through. Figuring out the world of dating and relationships is a constant puzzle, so it helps to have some words of reality and experience to turn to. The celebrity quotes are a big plus, as it's always inspiring to hear from people who have a large impact on today's teen.

Since I have two teenage nieces who live in other states, Catherine Dee's books are one way I can pass on ideas and thoughts that are good for them as they grow up. Two years ago I purchased The Girls' Book of Wisdom for both of them for Christmas (in fact, I have this one myself!). I'm sending one niece The Girls' Book of Friendship and The Girls' Book of Love for her birthday. The whole series is great!

The Girls' Book of Love balances the cultural hype about love with reality, presenting quotes, facts, and opinions that will help girls who (like most adults) are trying to figure out how to stay true to themselves while loving someone else. A truly fun, informative, and enlightening read for preteens and young women.

This book would make a great gift. I loved reading it myself, but it's also an excellent gift for the young women on my Christmas list. It's fun to read -- organized in an easy and fun-to-read format. I especially loved the parts where men commented on love. It's important for girls to know how men feel too. Multi-dimensional look at love from a girls' perspective. A great complement to the Girls' Book of Wisdom and the Girls' Book of Friendship written by the same author.

This book is a great "starter" for any daughter or niece who's curious about love because it just discusses the emotions (not sex). But beware -- if you buy it for your daughter, you may find that it migrates to your own night stand. The quotes and stories will make romantics of all ages swoon.

As a busy bookstore manager, I had no intention of sitting here and reading The Girls' Book of Love from cover to cover. But I couldn't help it!! This is yet another excellent book from Catherine Dee.

This book has everything a girl could want to keep herself focused and empowered--whether she's in love, out of love, or just in between.

i love books about romance and this is great to read. it is quotes and stories for girls about falling in love. after reading the quotes, i feel like I know all of the secrets to a good relationship.
