versus
3.0 out of 5 stars It was less than okay....

This story is about Rayne again and her boyfriend.

3rd in the "Boys that bite" series. This one was boring. I actually skimmed a lot of the book. This will be the last one I will read if another one comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampires, Slayers and Werewolves Oh My, September 28, 2011
This review is from: Girls That Growl (A Blood Coven Vampire Novel) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Book #3 Girls That Growl , we discover that Sunny is now back being a mortal and has a Vampire Coven master Magnus as her boyfriend and Rayne finally got her wish in a sense and is a Vampire and has a hot Vampire boyfriend Jareth -however it's not as simple as it seems as we will learn with the twins. Rayne was poisoned with a virus which means she's a vampire without the powers though it does have perks like waking in the sun. She is also a Vampire Slayer and works for a company titles Slayer Inc killing off Vampires and other nasty supernaturals which is where Girls that Growl come in as it seems that the whole cheerleading squad has been turned into Werewolves and if someone doesn't do anything about it, the whole football team may start disappearing one by one. Can Rayne and Jareth solve the case which will include some international flight travel and one horrible Batman Shirt.
Find out and read how awkwardly Rayne saves the day and what she will have to do to save the school's Pep Squad - the last thing on her mind ever in Girls that Growl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blood Coven Series #3, August 16, 2011
This review is from: Girls That Growl (A Blood Coven Vampire Novel) (Mass Market Paperback)

Once again I loved this book. I kind of felt bad for Rayne in this book because Jareth seemed more worried about himslef than her. I understand that he was having fun being able to out in the sun again but he needed to help Rayne with the whole being a vampire thing. Anyway I think Rayne grew up a lot in this book. I think she learned a lot about herself. I like how Mari can bring different supernatural creatures into the same story and it fit in perfectly. I hope we get to see a lot more of the werewolves in the rest of the books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Girls That Growl, May 23, 2011

This review is from: Girls That Growl (A Blood Coven Vampire Novel) (Mass Market Paperback)
Girls That Growl is the 3rd book in the Blood Coven Vampire novels by Mari Mancusi. This one is again in Rayne's point of view. She's an official vampire slayer for Slayer Inc. but she's technically supposed to be in retirement from it now that she's a vampire herself. But Mr. Teifert the U.S. Senior Vice President of Slayer Inc. has other plans for her until the new replacement is properly trained. It has been reported that the cheerleaders at Oakridge High School have been heard growling and the captain of the football team is now also missing. It's up to Rayne to save the day again and boy is that a major challenge! But of course she has her blood mate Jareth and even though he's kind of become a beach bum lately he still comes through in the end and helps her fix this new growing problem. This is a must read!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars i love it :), May 8, 2011
This review is from: Girls That Growl (A Blood Coven Vampire Novel) (Mass Market Paperback)
girls that growl was really cool and fun to read :) i never thought that werewolves would be involved in the sires. i really enjoyed reading it because Rayne and Jareth finally went on a trip to england together :) it was sad when Jareth broke up with Rayne because she was being mean to him. when Rayne went to the woods with Orphues, i said to myself don't do it Rayne you love Jareth. When she is was in trouble all of a sudden a bat came in i said could it be Jareth?? then there he was trying to save Rayne :) i got really happy when he saved her from the werewolf because i knew he wouldn't leave her alone. :)

Here it goes again for Rayne. Like they say:If it wasn't for bad luck, she'd have no luck at all.So once again being a Slayer,Rayne is forced into doing something that's completely out of character for her to do.Then the unexpected happens to her. And for Sunny??Major desition time for her......Mari has one heck of a imagnation. She's added something you would'nt expect for a vampire book.No words can I say to express how good"Girls That Growl" is.

Here's the next of the books. Book three is called girls that growl it's still by rayne's point of view and her and Jareth have like no vampire powers. Except they can go in the sun. Anyway she's now a vampire vampire slayer. And slayer inc has another job for her , rumors are going around that the cheerleaders are growling and on top of that a local boy is missing so rayne needs to join the team to find out what is going on exactly. She gets on the team by blackmailing the team captain who used to be a best friend. Her first game is on the night of the full moon and after the game ends the cheerleaders all but one that is turn in to a pack of werewolf. They spend the night trashing places in town. On top off that another boy is missing. Rayne traces the cheerleaders steps and figures out were they got bitten and got the virus. So her and jareth make plans to go to of all places England. But after a fight with her mom about her mom;s boyfriend moving in she leaves and crashes the car. Jareth decides rayne is having a hard time with the transformation she's still drinking synthetic blood after a few months of being a vampire. He orders her to stay in the coven and see a shrink while he leaves for England to look for the cure for the cheerleaders. Rayne is mad and pulls the twin switchover and sunny took her place in the coven. She surprised Jareth on the plane and he let her stay and continue on to England. once there rayne pisses off the bitchy England vamps by pulling out her stake. Jareth is angry and he tells her it isn't going to work and when they get back they need to go there separate ways. Sad and feeling alone rayne goes to a bar and ends up wandering off with a boy. That boy is the ware wolf who turned the cheerleaders. he holds rayne captive wanting her to be his werewolf bride. She learns that he has the boys from school captive as well and with no vamp powers she cant help her self or the boys. She use the only thing she an she use her telepathic power to call jareth for help but sadly it only works one way and doesn't no if he heard it or not. But he shows up just in time and saves the day it turns out he had his vamp powers back but he could still go out in the sun. They make up killed the bad wolf and got the cure to the cheerleaders everything was finally going OK till a red head girl shows up announcing that shes magnus's new blood mate to be.
