5.0 out of 5 stars colorful and edgy September 8, 2009
Format:Hardcover
Love this book. What a breath of fresh air when you're craving something totally different and can't get your Dominoe magazine anymore. Abigail Ahern's take on decorating is totally bold and courageous and she holds nothing back. I love decorating books from across the pond they always tend to be more ecclectic and this one hits a home run with it's modern but earthy texture.

1.0 out of 5 stars Girls' Guide to Decorating October 24, 2011
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
Disappointing, I definately wouldn't recommend this book to any person who is wanting to gain some skills in this department as it lacked substance and although it did have some facts about scale, proportion etc is was 'thin on the ground'

1.0 out of 5 stars I liked her sister's place but that's about it February 19, 2013
By emannep
Format:Paperback
she's got a couple of good ideas that she employed in that first shoot (I like the dark gray and the hot pink) but it's played out at this point. There's a real lack of balance and way too much clutter. Her own house is, imho, a jumbled mess. It looks crowded yet unlived in. And for all the talk to "go bold" it all comes across as fearful and uncertain unlike, say, Miles Redd or Kelly Wearstler.
