An ordinary cookbook this is not. Everything about The Get `Em Girl's Guide is absolutely delicious! Dining is an art. To make the experience just right - all my senses must be engaged. My experience with this cookbook was sort of like that - engaging on many levels. Presentation is mucho importante and the Girls have it down. The book itself is gorgeous to look at. I'm serious -the rich colors and a few glossy pics of the fabulous looking food add a very nice touch. The recipes are serious get your man creations. Everything from baked macaroni and cheese and southern fried chicken to salmon with brown sugar glaze and homemade vanilla ice cream with brown sugar peaches. Um-um!

This cookbook is for the novice entertainer, the newly attached (or trying to become attached) and the seasoned cook. Still not sure what wine to serve with what or exactly where to place that salad fork? Let the Get `Em Girls Guide you. Before you even embark on your foray into the culinary arts you'll need to "take stock" of what you have in the pantry and in your cabinets. They have thought of everything.

Not only do they provide awesome recipes but they also place the recipes in easy to prepare menus for all occasions. Your man having guests over for Super Bowl Sunday? Look no further turn to page 98 for tips on the game (football 101) and a winning super bowl menu. Is your sweetheart feeling a little under the weather? Turn to page 77 and try some "Soups and Salads for the Soul" along with some tips on keeping him occupied. Already know how to throw down in the kitchen? You'll still love the menu ideas and the new twists on some traditional recipes. Who wouldn't love some fresh ideas for quick (30 minute) but hearty meals? It's all in there.

I love this cookbook so much that I purchased seven copies to send to some friends. The recipes are easy and fun.

The Southern Girls iced tea is an awesome treat. I no longer cook without consulting this cookbook first.

My goal is to prepare everything in this book.

You must try the brown sugar glazed salmon it is the best meal I have prepared for my husband in years.

I would suggest that all ladies, especially ladies that are trying to find Mr. Right purchase this cookbook. This book is the real SECRET.

Skills, that's what this book is about. I never heard of anyone doing anything well, without having the skills to accomplish what they set out to do. The Get 'Em Girls give you the tools to set the perfect table, select the perfect wine and cook the perfect meal for whatever the occasion requires. Great tips for the newbie cook and great recipes for anyone who wants to impress. I also liked the non-cooking writing, I really like these women, they have brains and heart. Enjoy!!

The Get'Em Girls Guide is my new bible!! Can I get an AMEN!!

Seriously though, this book is great. It's not just a cookbook, the recipes are homespun and the techniques are easy enough that anyone can attempt to create the masterpieces described, and if done right they might Get`Em!!!

I loved it! I recommend the smothered pork/turkey chop recipe!!

Good work Subira publishing.

I am so excited that I was allowed to meet the authors of this book. I have never been big on actually cooking but once I got home and skimmed through this book, it was on. I am definitely hitting the supermarket and putting some of these treats to the test.

The book is quick, light and definitely something to try.
