We got this when they were 1. They started out rocking it - had a little trouble but by the time they were 2 could make it fly. Never really used the handle any. But they have been riding the trike for 3 years. They stay outside and are still in great shape. This is a great toy and now with the new colors they are even better.

Rock, Barely Roll and No interest in Riding,

This has been a very frustrating toy for my girls. They were both able to get it rocking well, but after they grew out of that stage, it's been pretty useless. The handle is WAY to short to push them for long, and the plastic tires get zero traction on the sidewalk. they go about 2 feet and then the wheels just spin. The little foot rest doesn't work well either-keeps folding back up and their feet get rolled on! Not a well thought out design, and must not have tested it with real children!

This bike has been worth every penny and then some. I actually bought it for my son when it was too late to use the "rock " feature, so it has been just a bike. from 18 months on he has, as our neighbors say,"hasn't he ridden those wheels right off yet?" the person who reviewed saying the foot pegs don't stay up, you are doing something wrong! My neighbor had the same bike and the same problem and i coudn't figure out what on earth they were doing wrong when i saw their son's feet dragging on the ground! I stopped the Dad and said, those pegs stay up, let me look at that. I flipped the bike over and locked the pegs into place, he had not secured them past the "hump" to hold them. now their son can keep his feet on the pegs. I took the bike indoors when my son was 2 to a toddler gym time and that is where he learned to pedal! It was great! as far as staying on the road, of course they can't steer yet! just pop a little whelie and keep going , or push them in the driveway so they can steer where ever they want and learn safely. At 31/2 my son rides a 16" "big boy" bike now but won't give up this one for his fun riding, steering off the driveway into the grass, needing a "tow" to pull him out. It is great imaginative play! and this thing does not flip! Not very easily anyway. He drives it down into the ditch in our neighborhood and he is actually a very cautious little boy. He feels extrememly safe on this. We have gotten at least 2 years of SOLID riding out of this toy and it is still going. I highly recommend it. I am buying another one for our 18 mo. daughter because he is still using it when he is not riding his big bike.

I bought this toy for my niece's 1st bday. As soon as it was put together she was all over it. It is only being used as a trike so not sure how the rocking or the one with the handle rates. One thing I have noticed that it tips over kind of easy and she is 23 pounds.

My daughter got this for her 1st bday. It looked pretty neat since it is capable of doing so much, but so far it hasn't impressed us at all. The age says from 12 months. Shes the average size 12 month old and her feet dont reach the floor or petals. The rocking is a bit lame. Its very limited. I thought when it said that it converted to a rocker that it would actually move, however, the rocking is very limited. Maybe my daughter is just a little more high strung but she wanted to rock on it and it would barely move. We pushed her around on it in the tricycle mode and it too was just ok since she could barely reach the handle bars and couldnt reach the pedals. Perhaps when shes a little older she will be able to enjoy it more, but I would not recommend this at all for parents to buy for their one year old. The age braket should at least start at 18 months.

I bought this for my one year old niece, Hannah, she loves it! She really enjoys chasing her big brother, Seth (2 1/2 yrs.), around the house with it.

i just bought this for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. wherever we go this toy has to come. It has a place for little ones who are not quite big enough to ride on there own to put there feet up while mommy pushes them around, and while we are at home she loves the rocker. This is a great toy.

My daughter is about Twenty Months and she got this in April on her Birthday. Now that she is old enough to feel comfortable she rocks herself all the time, and it teaches her balance on the bike, she will be taking off in no time, I'm sure!

A good all-around ride on toy,

My daughter has loved this since the moment I put it together. She has no problem rocking it (she's 18 months), but her favorite is to be pushed along outside. I love the fact it's sturdy and versatile. I'm sure we'll have it until it wears out.Edit: My daughter is now 3+ and still LOVES this bike. She'll ride it up and down in front of the house with the 'big kids' on their bikes all day if we let her. The stickers have worn off and the plastic's faded a bit, but we're VERY happy with the quality and durability of this toy. Definitely would recommend. |
