First off, I would like to say that I had the pleasure of meeting Lucio at the Circle of Sisters in New York City. He told me to tell the world about him and that is what I am doing.

Girlz Night Out was a great read. I could not put the book down. It showed me no matter how close you are with people that you should never tell all of your secrets. "Keep something for yourself". It also showed me that true friends are down for whatever. The last and final thing this novel showed me was everyone has a past.

Ladies and Gentlemen READ THIS BOOK. I highly recommend it. I will be sure to pick up his next novel. This is a brother on the rise.

Good Luck Lucio

5.0 out of 5 stars Girlz Night Out- WOW!, August 13, 2006
This review is from: Girlz Night Out (Paperback)
This novel is about five women dealing with the humiliation, subordination, and double standards this world has us living with.
Perhaps finally after reading this story we've understood that men will go as far as we let them. In terms of the way they treat us. Now, we can stop asking ourselves those disturbing and time consuming questions. Such as, to what extent will we let disrespect be a part of our lives? And how far will we go to avenge what has been done to us? But most importantly, will revenge be worth it?
Mr. Dutch's writing is very descriptive and with carefull reading, understanding the powerfulness of this novel will shine on you like the hint of sunrise on your sleepy face. His ability to write an objective story about sex, lies, and love has given me the opportunity to further educate myself with respect to life and love.
I give Mr. Lucio Dutch five stars for this creative novel. It's intelligent, passionate, and powerful. I sense a new genre approaching.

The following saying is written in Lucio's novel "Girlz Night Out". It caught my attention in a special way. Perhaps it would do the same for you.

"True Intelligence can't be measured for there is no person or instrument worthy to attempt to try and do so" Lucio Dutch

Think about it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fed Up, December 31, 2005

In GIRLZ NIGHT OUT by Lucio Dutch we meet five friends who have been mistreated, abused, cheated on and taken for granted. They are fed up and refuse to be dogged out anymore, so they attempt to devise the ultimate payback.

Tabbitha Kinney, a waitress, has a terrible secret that she isn't ready to share just yet. Her friends notice a change in her and want to help but aren't sure how, since they aren't aware of exactly what's wrong. Tabbitha finally discloses that she was violated in the worst way by someone close to her. She realizes something needs to be done, but isn't sure exactly what.

Ingrid Cruz, an executive assistant, is tired of being verbally abused and sexually harassed by her boss. She is a very accurate assistant who is not appreciated for all the hard work she does. She is fed up with being taken for granted but has no idea what to do about it. She needs and values her job, but is it worth the harassment?

Deanya Bower, a single mother, uses men for what they can do for her. She is known as a gold-digger who will freak any man walking. Finally finding a man she wants to settle down with, she believes she is in love. When he has problems dealing with Deanya's past, he breaks it off with her. She can't believe the one person she falls in love with leaves her high and dry with no means of supporting herself. She is devastated and vows to make him her man again.

Debbie Leigh, a top-selling sales associate, is sexually harassed daily by her boss. When she can no longer take the harassment she threatens to report the incidents to the corporate office. But her threat falls on deaf ears as her boss beats her to the punch and reports a few complaints about her. Not believing the turn of events, Debbie quits during the meeting with the human resource department but not before promising a lawsuit.

Jessica Hunter, an aspiring singer, is well on her way to releasing her first album. She can be found most times in the studio perfecting her craft. She loves the professional relationship she shares with her producer and is ecstatic about finally getting her music out for the world to hear. Unfortunately, the relationship turns sour when he propositions her for sex. She turns him down and he erases all the previously recorded tracks. Hurt and humiliated, Jessica can't believe that the one person she thought would help her career has disrespected her.

GIRLZ NIGHT OUT is a story of friendship, trust and loyalty. The girls in are close friends who are determined to get back at the men who have harmed them. Although the characters were well developed, there were too many main characters to keep up with. A few times I had to go back to figure out who I was reading about. With it being about so many different people, I found that the storyline mainly focuses on just a few of the characters. The ending seemed a bit rushed and the twist at the end, although surprising, didn't flow well. This would have been a much better read had the story focused on three out of the five main characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars somebody make an indy film, December 19, 2005
This review is from: Girlz Night Out (Paperback)
I agree with one of the other reviewers... this would be a good movie. I don't usually read fiction but this was a fun detour from ny normal track. Its a naughty read with some good twists. I'd like to see it on film with some really good unknown actresses. There a many truisms in the story that could be brought across very powerfully on screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Move over Waiting to Exhale, December 11, 2005
This review is from: Girlz Night Out (Paperback)
When a woman's fed up, there ain't nothing you can do about it. Well Tabitha, Ingrid, Debbie, Jessica, and Deanya are fed up. Fed up with men. But, there is something they can do about it and they plan to. They have been dogged, played, and lied to for the last time. It's time for a girlz night out!

Girlz Night Out is well written, action packed and drama filled. Lucio's characters were fully developed and the story line interesting. It was a true page turner as readers want to watch the lives of these five women unfold. Suspense. Intrigue. Revenge. Sex. Murder. I look forward to the sequel as well as Lucio's other upcoming novels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tension relieving session, December 7, 2005
This review is from: Girlz Night Out (Paperback)
So ladies, we've all at some point in our lives discovered that there is a club that we have no access to. Double standards used by men to get WHAT, they want, WHEN, they want, HOW, they want, WHERE, they want and the WHO, doesn't matter as long as she plays her position.

What's even more disgusting, spectators treat these men like royalty. Let it be discovered that a female is strong, sexually free, and driven. The stories that will spread about her will be anything but flattering, and the men will deny it, but we know that they're lusting.

Well, in Girlz Night Out, we're introduced to five real friends who come together to penetrate this club. Tabbitha Kinney, Ingrid Cruz, Deanya Bower, Debbie Leigh, and Jessica Hunter have all vowed to be there for one another through it all.

Lucio Dutch in all of his candor dissects each individual character and helps the reader to get to know her past and travel alongside them as they are faced with a stalemate in manners of the heart. Intensely funny, bold, sexy, and dare I say a work of art, Girlz Night Out instantaneously yanks you inside these friendships with anticipation of what's still to come.
