5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!
I bought these when i moved out to Vail and they are awesome. They keep ur ears warm, and keep the music playing while your shredding all day. The clip breaks pretty easily but its not a big deal. The volume is great every1 on the lift can hear what im listening to. LOL

1.0 out of 5 stars Tune ups are a turn off
I bought a replacement set of Tune ups for my helmet, the new ones lasted less than a week. A very poorly built connector system leaves much to be desired. When contacted about it Giro claimed they didn't support it. Buy a decent pair of earbuds and you will be much happier.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome gadget!, February 5, 2011
This review is from: Giro 2009 Tuneups Audio/Tab (Sports)
I've had this piece in my helmet for 2 years now... I LOVE it. It's such an easy way to listen to your music without having to pull your ipod out of your jacket every 3 minutes. Yes, the clip on my volume piece broke as well, but I just feed the wires through the headphone hole on my jacket, into the pocket and pull it out of my front/chest pocket and zip it up, so it stays right where I want it and is easily accessible. I can mute or turn the volume up/down with my gloves on, which is awesome. Call me weird, but I don't like having headphones in my ears when its cold outside, this is the perfect alternative. And I can turn it off quickly when my friends are talking to me or when I get on the lift. Love it. Great idea.

good company to work with - seems silly a florida company selling snow gear! purchased for my son. the clip that holds the volume/mute to jacket was broke, so we had to return it. wishing we had just did a replacement, because we cannot find this product any longer - the new model is bluetooth for phone and there is no mute button on music.

Amazon picture shows Giro Tune Ups for Nine.9 and similar helmets -- product is actually Giro Tune Ups for Encore and Bad Lieutenant (see customer image). Make sure you have the right kind of helmet before ordering.

2.0 out of 5 stars What are you buying? Volume/mute button poor quality, otherwise ok, December 28, 2009
This review is from: Giro 2009 Tuneups Audio/Tab (Sports)
Hard to tell what you are buying. The picture and description do not match as other reviewers have noted.

If you actually do get the audio kit for whatever compatible helmet, it comes with a volume control switch with mute button. It has a clip on it to attach to the outside of your clothing to easily adjust volume or mute it. A very nice idea. However, during the first use, after one mild fall while snow skiing, the cheap plastic clip on the volume/mute switch broke with no way to fix. Had to rig-up a wire cable tie to get it to stay on.

Besides the above cheap plastic design, the ear pads hold well into the helmet and the sound quality is good. Would have given it three stars, but with the item/picture/description not matching, dropped it to two.

The description makes no sense at all, and this is definitely NOT the right accessory for the Bad Lieutenant helmet. I now have to return mine, Thanks for the bad advice doctor moron.
