every world music fan should own this,

This album is drenched in the sound of the Oud (it sounds like a sitar/mandolin/guitar hybrid) and the rhythms of the Middle East and Africa. The tunes are melodic and accessible, the improvising is great, the instrumentation is intimate and fresh -accordian, voice,clarinet, oud, tabla - and the album is beautifully recorded. I have owned this for over a year and play it more than any other album. I also reccommend the movie "Latcho Drom", the Realworld compilation album "Bliss" and Jesse Cook's "Vertigo". They are all different but they have a similar reverberant "feel" about them.
