On Walhall 351; 2 CD's; Here is a magnificent live performance of this terrific opera with an excellent, truly splendid cast in superb form! Tebaldi is glorious in her first broadcast from New York, Del Monaco is powerful and magnificent, while Warren is stunning. The supporting cast is superb, with a lyrical young Paul Franke and an even younger James McCracken. This is not to be missed by opera buffs and collectors.
