Great mix of history with thrilling suspense, August 2, 2005
This review is from: Give Me Liberty (Hardcover)
This book deals with the life of Patrick Henry. Certainly not the best known of the revolusionaries but one that was held in very high esteem by the likes of George Washington, Sam Adams, John Adams, and James Madison. Though it is about 89% factual, it does play with a few details enough to add spice and suspense. It is very well written and keeps you connected regardless of when it was written. I don't often read this kind of book, but it kept me connected to it. It was a real page turner. It also sparked enough interest in me to do some historic research myself on the accounts portrayed in the book. I thoroughly recommend this book. It truly sets the powerful and exciting stage the revolutionaries were facing in the time leading up to and untill after American Independence.
